Hindu-British Raj in Karachi through MQM and PPP

Pakistani politicians, celebrities and leading T.V. channels including PTV now are trying their best keep Pakistan under Hindu-British Raj as it was before 23rd March, 1940 and has been during last 6o years.  They all frighten people of Pakistan of other nation’s might and power while producing nothing constructive and progressive for better future of children or youth.

Karachi, the backbone of Pakistan, is already under MQM’s control, which, to me, seems like (and I am 100% sure of it) Altaf Yazeed’s contract with British Parliament.  They have allowed him to live in Britain as a citizen and directing most terrorism in Karachi in cooperation with PPP and ANP.  They must be funding him or giving him commission for imposing Oxford and other British publications in private schools of Karachi.  Its a deal like “you occupy Karachi, we occupy your children’s mind”.

پاکستانیوں کو چاہیے کہ پاکستانی چینلز دیکھنا بند کریں تاکہ ایمان، غیرت اور حب الوطنی بچا سکیں… وہی وقت اپنی تعلیم پر لگائیں، کتابیں پڑھیں، خود کو بہتر کریں تاکہ دنیا میں کچھ عزت تو ملے…

Show-biz’s role in steep decline of our system

PART 1

My life has become peaceful since I have stopped watching Pakistani channels.

I don’t get to see the ugly faces of the most hated Pakistani politicians, especially President of Pakistan, the most criminal man Zardari, the terrorist British citizen Altaf Yazeed, cheater ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and the dog-faced Shahi Syed.

I don’t get to hear their attention-diverting fake and friendly statements.

I don’t get agonized anymore by interrupting breaking news about American political agents.

I don’t get to watch programs promoting Indian songs and ideology.

I don’t watch morning shows promoting beggary by presenting families calling for donations and donations and donations yet no promises of returning the favour.

I don’t waste time in surfing channels in search of pro-Pakistan personalities and programs propagating a particular mind-set.

I don’t waste time waiting for days and days and days for just one Pakistani song on music channels of Pakistan.

I don’t get to watch commercials teaching and preaching all non-sense stuff and immoralities to Pakistani youth.

I have saved my mind and soul from disappointments, depression and mental torture spread by channels either supported or financed by political parties.

I convince Pakistani children there is nothing for you on Pakistani channels except for singing and dancing on Indian songs, so you should stop watching Pakistani channels and focus on your studies.  Your educational system has already been destroyed by MQM.

So now I help them learning skills and pure, simple and correct views about life, religion and politics.

The children say that they don’t watch Paksitani channels but Indian channels.  I told them that this is why Pakistani channels are directed to show only Indian stuff and no Pakistan based programs for children so children automatically be attracted to Indian channels.

PART 2

The world history is a witness the rise and fall of many great empire of old times.  The future historians will write about the rise and fall of Soviet Union, USA, Great Britain and even Pakistan as they are the empires of current era.

Yes, Pakistan is an empire too.  Pakistan is ruled by criminal-minded Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, Wali Khan and Altaf Yazeed dynasty.  These are not democratic parties but have imposed dictatorship and have fallen into friendly-rivalry in order to provide financial favours to each other from people’s tax money.  They feed their families, built palaces, send their children to Oxford with the same tax money.

Part 3

The point to ponder is that how these criminal-minded politicians have succeeded in ruling Pakistani people.  They are criminal and cheaters, that is why they are rich.  They are the one who can reward and award those who live and die to win rewards and awards.  They are called show-biz people, the one who are always hungry for money, appreciation and recognition.  They usually have no other talent.  They are the best people who could be used by politicians to preach and spread their mind-set and ideology.

Yes, in Pakistan, not only channels but celebrities are also used by politicians to defuse pressure against politicians.

All celebrities know that Zardari is the most corrupt person of Pakistan.  They still take award from him and smile and waive to Gilani, like Noman Ijaz, Javed Shiekh and many more.  They sing for their parties.  They speak their language.

Actors, singers and comedians are one of the biggest hurdles in changing system towards betterment.  Most of them work like sold commodities.  They already lack education and correct understanding of anything.

If people of Pakistan want to change system, they must get rid of those slave-minded political celebrities in order to weaken politician’s strength.  Otherwise, we would never become free and f

Children have rights and life too…

Following is the syllabus of a 3rd Grader for final exams.   This is beside Urdu, Islamiyaat and Computer.  This is what they have to learn after all weekends, holidays and MQM’s Sog-Days off.

With this syllabus, the school can declare the students ready for employment after 5th Grade.  A 3rd Grader is 8 or 9 year old.  Do kids at this age deserve to study such a non-sense syllabus in the name of high standard?  They complain about children cheating in exams, why wouldn’t they?

Parents should raise their voice against this injustice and child abuse.  Children have rights and life too.

Summary of Algebra 1 – Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide

- In addition and subtraction, we only add or subtract coefficient, not powers.

- In multiplication, we multiply coefficients and add the powers of variables.

- In division, we divide coefficients and subtract powers of variables.

The previous post was about the basic Algebraic terms and normal mathematical operations.

This post is about how mathematical signs work in Algebra and how should students read them.

1- What are signs?

In Maths, numbers, terms and values are either negative ( – ) or positive ( + ).

2- How are plus and minus signs read in Algebra?

Any term with plus sign (+) is positive and minus sign (-) is negative.    If sign is not written there, it means the term is positive.

For example,

+ 5a² is positive five a square          - a² b²  is negative a square b square

Similarly, in, 2x² - 3y² , 2x² is positive and 3y² is negative

3- What are the results or answers of mathematical operations called?

- The answer of addition is called the ‘sum’.

- The answer of subtraction is called the ‘difference’.

- The answer of multiplication is called the ‘product’.

- The answer of division is called the ‘quotient’.

4- What are the rules for adding and subtracting like-terms?

There are some rules about using mathematical signs in Algebra.

1- The sum of two positive like-terms is always positive.

For example,  12x² + 13x² = 25x²

2- The sum of two negative like-terms is always negative.

For example,  - 15a³ - 10a³ =  - 25a³                     

3- The difference or result of one positive and one negative term carries the sign of bigger coefficient.

For example,  14x² - 11x²  = 3x²       and    9x² - 16x² =  - 7x²

4- The sum of one positive and one negative like terms with the same coefficient equals zero.

For example,   5a² - 5a² = 0

This is the same simple mathematical concept, you have 5 candies, you eat them all, you are left with nothing.  So, having 5 candies is positive, eating 5 candies is negative and the result is zero.

5- What are the rules for multiplying and dividing terms?

1- The product of two positive terms is always positive.

For example, (14x²) (2x) = 28x³  coefficients are multiplied, powers are added

2- The product of two negative terms is positive too.

For example, (- 9y²) (- 4y⁵) = 36y⁷ coefficients are multiplied, powers are added

3- The product of one positive and one negative term is negative.

For example, (- 8b³) (7b) =  - 56b⁴ coefficients are multiplied, powers are added

4- Like in Math, the product of any term multiplied by zero would be zero.

For example, (5a² b²c²) ( 0 ) = 0  

5- The quotient of two positive terms is always positive.

For example,  8a⁷ / 4a² = 2a⁵  coefficients are divided and powers are subtracted

6- The quotient of two negative terms is positive.

For example,  - 16x³ / – 4x  = – 4x²

7- The quotient of one negative and one positive terms is negative.

For example,  - 15c⁵ / 3c² = – 5c³

SIMPLE ALGEBRAIC TERMS AND EXPRESSIONS

Give a week or two to students to learn and understand Algebraic terminology.  Must avoid teaching signs until students are able to read and explain Algebraic terms and expressions properly.

1- What is a consonant constant?

A consonant constant in Algebra is a known value, a quantity that does not change unless a mathematical operation is applied.  Any number, fraction, pi  π are  consonants constants.

For example, 1,  2,  3/4,  2/5,   π

2 – What is a variable?

A variable is a symbol, which is represented by any small letter, that stands for an unknown value.

For example,    a  b  x  y  z

3- What is a Coefficient?

A number right before a variable is called a coefficient.  Any variable with no number has 1 as a coefficient.

For example,  in 2 x, 2 is the coefficient of variable x

4- What is an Algebraic term?

A term could be a consonant   constant or a variable that is a part of an Algebraic expression.

For example,   2 x + 3 y is an Algebraic expression and 2 x and 3 y are terms.

5- What is an expression?

Two or more terms make up an expression.

For example, 2 a +  3b  - c       or      xy – 5xy + 4

.

6- What is an exponent?

An exponent is the power of a consonant   constant or a variable.  It is represented by a small number on top side of a consonant  constant or a variable.  This number as an exponent shows that the consonant  constant or variable is multiplied to itself that many times.

For example,  x²  y²     x³  y³    x⁴  y⁴    x⁵  y⁵   — 2, 3, 4, 5 on top of x and y  are the exponent or power of x and y.

x² = (x) (x) – read as x square (means x is multiplied twice)

y³  = (y) (y) (y) – read as y cube (means y is multiplied three times)

2⁵   = (2) (2) (2) (2) (2) – read as 2 to the power of 5 (means 2 is multiplied 5 times)

7- How should students read powers?

x        y  -  x and y – their power is 1 (which is not written or read as 1)

x²    y²   -  x square, y square  (reading this term as x2 is wrong)

x³    y³    -  x cube, y cube (reading this term as x3 or y3 is wrong)

x⁴   y⁴     -  4 to the power of x x to the power of 4 and 4 to the power of y  y to the power of 4 (shouldn’t be read as x4 or y4)

x¹⁰  y¹⁰   - 10 to the power of x  x to the power of 10 and 10 to the power of y  y to the power of 10

8a- What is a term?

A term is a constant or a variable written separate or together.

For example,    5      a²       b²c²      - 2a³ b²c

8b- What is an expression?

An expression is a combination of two or more terms.

For example,  2x² + 2y²            a² - b²         3a² + b² - 1 

8c- What are like terms?

Same variables having same powers in an expression are called “like-terms”.  Like terms can have different co-efficient.  Only like terms can be added or subtracted.  Adding or subtracting terms means their coefficients are added or subtracted, not powers.

For example,

a² + 4a²                 2ab³ + 8ab³               5a² b²c² - a² b²c²  – are like terms

so they can be added or subtracted,

a² + 4a² = 5a²                2ab³ + 8ab³ = 10ab³                5a² b²c² - a² b²c² = 4a² b²c²

9- What happens when the terms are not like-terms?

Terms that are not like (have different variable or powers) cannot be added or subtracted.

a³ + 4a² = 5a²      terms are not like because variables are same but powers are different

2ab³c + 8ab³ = 10ab³c       terms are not like because variables are different

5a³ b²c - a² b + c² =   not possible because powers and variables are different

10- When are powers added or subtracted?

Powers of a number or a variable are added in multiplication and subtracted in division.  The parenthesis ) and ( are used as a sign of multiplication.  Slash / is used as a sign of division.  Only the powers of same variables are added or subtracted.  The coefficients of same variables are multiplied or divided beside adding or subtracting powers.  The coefficients of different variables cannot be multiplied or divided.

For example,

MULTIPLICATION:

(x² ) (x³ ) = (x²⁺³)  = x⁵                      (x²y²) (x⁴y⁵z³) = (x²⁺⁴    y²⁺⁵    z³) = x⁶ y⁷ z³

(3x² ) (4x³ ) = (12x²⁺³)  = 12 x⁵  — 3 and 4 are multiplied while the powers of x are added

(x² ) (y³ ) = (xy²⁺³)  = xy⁵   powers of two different variables cannot be added

DIVISION:

(x⁵ / ³ ) = (x^{5 – 3})  = x²                      (x⁶y⁹/ x⁴y⁵z³) = (x^{6- 4}    y^{9 – 5}    z³) = x² y⁴ z³

(15x⁴ / 3x³ ) = (5x^{4 – 3})  = 5x  — 15 is divided by 3 while the powers of x are subtracted

(x⁵ ) (y³ ) = (xy^{5 – 3})  = xy²   powers of two different variables cannot be subtracted

Reading terms:

8²  read as eight square                   m² read as m sqaure (not m two)             4a² read as four a square (not 4 a two)

x² +  y² read as x square plus y square  (not as x two and y two or x square and y square)

3a⁴ - 2b³ read as three a to the power of four minus two b cube

(x²) (y²)  read as x square multiplied by y square

(x³y³/ x³y⁵z³) read as x cube y cube divided by x cube, y to the power of 5, z cube

Explaining terms:

8² -  This is an algebraic term in which, 8 is the number, two is it’s exponent or power, which shows that 8 is being multiplied two times (8 x 8)

m³ - This is an algebraic term in which, m is the variable, 3 is it’s power, which shows that m is being multiplied three times (m x m x m)

4a² - This is an algebraic term in which, 4 is coefficient, a is the variable and 2 is the power of a, which shows that a is being multiplied twice.

x² +  y²  This is an algebraic expression in which, the first term x square is added to the second term y square.

3a⁴ - 2b³  This is an algebraic expression in which, the first term has 3 as a coefficient, a as a variable and 4 as it’s power and the second term has 2 as coefficient, b as a variable and 3 as it’s power.  Two b cube is to be subtracted from three a to the power of 4.

(x²) (y²)  - This is an algebraic expression in which, x square is multiplied to y square.

(x³y³/ x³y⁵z³) – This is an algebraic expression in which, x cube y cube are divided by x cube, y to the power of 5, z cube.

Re-writing Algebraic Terms:

1) a^-2   —— any power with minus sign shows that the term is a denominator, it is written as 1/a²

یہ قیامت کے بارے میں کہا گیا ہے… لیکن ہمارے والدینوں نے اپنے بچوں پریہ قیامت پہلے ہی نازل کردی…

والدین کے اپنے بچوں کو کم عمری میں زیادہ سے زیادہ اور انکے ذہن سے بڑھ کر علم دینے کے پاگل پن نے بچوں کو بچپنے میں ہی بوڑھا کردیا ہے… اور وہ بھی اس طرح  کہ ہربچہ ہر مضمون میں اوّل آۓ ورنہ وہ نکمّہ ہے…

اسکول ایڈ منسٹر یشنزکے اپنے اسکولوں کی مشہوری اور زیادہ سے زیادہ فیس لینے کی دوڑ نے بچوں کو بوڑھوں کی طرح تھکا دیا ہے… باہر سے درآمد شدہ سلیبس اور اپنے پسندیدہ، کھاتے پیتے رشوت دینے والے گھرانوں کے بچوں کو پوزیشنز دینا انکا بزنس چارم ہے…

مونٹیسری لیول اور پہلی دوسری جماعت تک تو بچے کسی نہ کسی طرح محنت کر کے کچھ کامیابی دکھاتے ہیں اور پھر تھکنا شروع ہو جاتے ہیں… آگے جماعتوں میں وہ بیزار نظرآتے ہیں… اکثر ماں باپ یہ کہتے نظر آتے ہیں کہ “بچپن میں یہ اتنا ذہین تھا، اب پتا نہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے پڑھتا ہی نہیں”…

.

خود سوچیں کہ بچے تھکیں گے نہیں، پاگل نہیں ہونگے، بیزارنہیں ہونگے تو کیا کریں گے… اسکول کے دنوں میں ہڑتالیں اور چھٹیاں ہو جاتی ہیں اور پھر بچوں کو ہفتہ کو بلایا جاتا ہے… امتحانات کے زمانے میں کرکٹ اور دوسری اٹریکشنز رکھی جاتی ہیں… یا ہنگامے اور بجلی وغیرہ کی لوڈ شیڈنگ… 

پھرہر ٹیچر یہ کرتی ہے کہ ابھی ایک مضمون پڑھایا اور دوسرے تیسرے دن ٹیسٹ دے دیا… اس سے بھی بڑھ کر سرپرائز ٹیسٹ، جو کسی بھی دن لے لئے جاتے ہیں… انکے علاوہ فائنلز اور دوسرے امتحانات الگ ہیں…

موسم کی سختی اور غیرمعیاری جگہوں پر چھہ سات گھنٹے گزارنے کے بعد ٹرانسپورٹ کی تکلیفات اور پھر گھر آکر مولوی صاحب سے قرآن اور گھنٹوں ٹیوشن پڑھنا اور ٹیسٹ کی تیاری کرنا…  

یہ تعلیم دینے کا کونسا طریقہ ہے…

Happy Pakistan Day – 23rd March

Today is 23rd Mach, The Pakistan Day.   Is this the day for government to announce a holiday and media to show their interest in it?  What is common man’s participation in celebrating it?

That is it.  Whatever has happened is past.  The youth should take over Pakistan now.  They are talented, they are energetic, they are powerful.  They can make mistakes and learn from them.  I bet they don’t want to listen to the failure stories of our politicians.  No more unnecessary discussion for them.  They would want to see their fellows making world records.  They should stand up against unnecessary rituals and traditions.  They should force government to listen to them.  They should demand for what they want.

کبھی اے نوجواں مسلم تدبر بھی کیا تونے؟

وہ کیا گردوں تھا ، تو جس کا ہے اک ٹوٹا ہوا تارا؟

گنوادی ہم نے جو اسلاف سے میراث پائی تھی

ثریا سے زمیں پر آسماں نے ہم کو دے مارا

حکومت کا تو کیا رونا کہ وہ اک عارضی شے تھی

نہیں دنیا کے آئین مسلم سے کوئی چارا

مگر وہ علم کے موتی ،کتابیں اپنے آبا کی

جودیکھیں ان کو یورپ میں تو دل ہوتاہے سیپارا

آج ٢٣ مارچ ٢٠١٢ ہے… یوم پاکستان… آج کے دن کی ایک عام پاکستانی کی زندگی میں کیا اہمیت ہے… شاید یہ کہ حکومت نے چھٹی کا اعلان کردیا ہے… اور میڈیا کی طرف سے شوروغوغا غل غپاڑہ مچایا جانا ہے کہ “قوم قومی جوش جذبے کے ساتھ یوم پاکستان منا رہی ہے”… لیکن یہ تو حکومت اور میڈیا کی آوازیں ہیں… عام پاکستانی کی آواز کیا ہے…

کیا آج کے عام پاکستانی کے قومی جوش جذبے کا مقابلہ ٢٣ مارچ ١٩٤٠ کے جلسے میں موجود ایک عام ہندوستانی سے کیا جا سکتا ہے؟… کیا انکے نزدیک اقبال پارک کی اہمیت منٹو پارک سے زیادہ ہے؟… کیا وہ مینار پاکستان کی طرح قرارداد پاکستان کو بھی سر اٹھا کردیکھنے کے قابل سمجھتے ہیں؟…. 

١٩٤٠ کے ایک عام ہندوستانی آدمی، عورت یا طالب علم میں اتنی ہمت اورشعور تھا کہ اپنے لئے ایک الگ خطہ زمین کا مطالبہ کرے اور اسے قائم کر کے دکھا دے… کیا ٢٠١٢ کے کسی آدمی، عورت یا طالب علم میں اتنی جرات اور مردانگی ہے کہ اس خطہ زمین کا دفاع کرسکے…

زبان کی طاقت سے، کہ بات کہہ لے یا نغمہ بن جاۓ 

الفاظ کی طاقت سے، کہ تقریر یا شاعری کر لے 

ہاتھ کی طاقت سے، کہ گریبان پکڑ لے 

ہتھیارکی طاقت سے، کہ رعب میں لا سکے 

قلم کی طاقت سے، کہ تحریرسے سمجھا ۓ  

علم کی طاقت سے، کہ دلیل سے راہ دکھا ۓ 

یا پھرایمان کی طاقت سے، کہ خدا کا پیغام اور رسول کا ترجمان بن جا ۓ

پاکستان کو بننا چاہیے تھا کہ نہیں؟… یہ فیصلہ ١٤ اگست ١٩٤٠ کو ہو گیا تھا…

.

پاکستان کو اسلامی ریاست ہونا چاہیے کہ سیکیولر؟… یہ دلائل علامہ اقبال کے ١٩٣٠ کے خطبۂ الہ آباد میں اور قائد اعظم کے ١٩٤٠ کے خطبۂ صدارت میں دیے جا چکے ہیں… اور وہ بھی بڑی تفصیل کے ساتھ…

پاکستان میں لوگ گمراہ اور مجرمانہ ذہنیت کے کیوں ہیں اور اتنے مسائل اور مصیبتوں میں کیوں گھرے ہیں؟… اس کا جواب… سوره المائدہ کی آیت ٥١ میں ہے، “اور الله ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا”….. سوره الانعام کی آیت ٢١ میں ہے، “اور بے شک، ظالم لوگ کبھی فلاح نہیں پاتے”….. سوره الانعام، آیت ٤٧، “اور کہو ان سے کہ تم دیکھتے نہیں کہ جب الله کا عذاب آتا ہے، اچانک یا علی الاعلان، تو کیا ہلاک کرتا ہے کسی کو ظالموں کے سوا؟”…….

پاکستان کا اب کیا ہوگا اور اس کو اب کون سنبھالے گا؟…. پاکستان میں ایک دو نہیں اٹھارہ کڑوڑ انسان بستے ہیں… ان میں کچھ نہیں کچھ نہیں تو ١٠ کڑوڑ بچے اور نو جوان تو ہیں ہی… یہ سب کے سب تو باہر جانے سے رہے… چند ہزار چلے بھی گئی تو باقی کہاں جائیں گے… بس وہی سنبھالیں گے بھی….

ایک بات تو طے ہے کہ پاکستان کے بہت سے بزرگ اپنی انا، خاندانی روایات، جذباتی بلیک میلنگ اوراپنی ذات کے سحر سے بھر نہیں نکلنے والے… جو ٥٠ سے اوپر ہیں اور “میں نہ مانوں” قسم کے ہیں، ان کو انکے حال پر چھوڑ دیا جا ۓ… 

.

پاکستان نوجوانوں کے حوالے کر دیا جاۓ… کامیاب نہیں بھی ہوۓ تو ناکامیوں کے مزے تو اڑالیں گے… ان کے دل میں یہ حسرت نہ ہو گی کہ کچھ بھی نہیں کیا… اچھا نہیں تو برا کر کے دکھادیں گے… بیٹھے تو نہیں رہیں گے ہاتھ پر ہاتھ رکھ کے… ظاہر ہے جس قسم کا خوفناک ماحول بزرگ پاکستانیوں نے پچھلے ٢٠، ٣٠ سالوں میں تخلیق کیا ہے… اس میں ان بچوں اور جوانوں نے کیا سیکھنا ہے… گھروں میں بزرگوں کا خوف، سڑکوں پر سیاسی غنڈوں کا…… لہذا غلطیاں بھی یہ خوفناک ہی کریں گے… کرنے دیں… خود ہی سیکھ لیں گے جینا…

. 

اور نوجوانوں کو بس اتنا خیال ضرور کرنا ہو گا کہ پرانی رسم، رواج، روایات، دینی ہوں یا سماجی یا خاندانی، بری یا فالتو ہیں تو ان سے جان چھڑائیں… چاہے کتنا ہی کوئی برا مانے… بلا وجہ کے منفی محاورے اور کہاوتوں کو گفتگو سے باہر نکال دیں… 

١٠ کڑوڑ بچے چند نکمے سیاست دانوں کی ناکامیوں کی کہانیاں سن کر کیا سیکھیں گے… بچے بچوں سے اور نوجوان نو جوانوں سے سیکھتے ہیں…بڑوں کو تو انکی ہدایت کا کام کرنا چاہے… جب یہ گرنے لگیں تو سنبھال لیں…

.

ہاں اس نسل کو یہ بات یاد رکھنی چاہیے کہ….اپنی زبان، اپنی زمین، اپنی قوم …. انکے بغیر کتنی بھی بڑی کامیابی ہو، مقبول نہیں ہوتی، دنیا اسے مانتی ہی نہیں… دنیا میں بہت سے پاکستانی بڑے بڑے کارنامے انجام دے رہے ہیں لیکن دوسرے ملکوں کی شہریت کی وجہ پاکستانی انہیں نہیں جانتے… عبد القدیر خان، عبد الستار ایدھی، عمران خان، ارفع کریم،  شرمین چناۓ کو ساری دنیا پاکستان کے نام سے پہچانتی ہے…

کاش نو جوانوں کو علامہ اقبال کی آہ سحر لگ جا ۓ… انکی نظر، انکا سوز جگر اور نور بصیرت مل جا ۓ….

.

نہیں ہے نا امید اقبال اپنی کشت ویران سے 

ذرا نم ہو تو یہ مٹی بہت زرخیز ہے ساقی

As a matter of fact, Pakistan is the matter of Faith.

1-10 Hijri – Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “I feel cool breeze coming from Hind.”  

1867 – Sir Syed Ahmed Khan said, “It was now impossible for Hindus and Muslims to progress as a single nation.”

1930 - Dr. Muhammad Iqbal said, “I therefore demand the formation of a consolidated Muslim State in the best interest of India and Islam.  For India, it means security and peace resulting from an internal balance of power; for Islam, an opportunity to rid itself of the stamp that Arabia Imperialism was forced to give it, to mobilize its law, its education, its culture, and to bring them into closer contact with its own original spirit and with the spirit of modern times.”

23rd March, 1940 

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah said, ” The Hindus and the Muslims belong to two different religions, philosophies, social customs, and literature.  It is quite clear that Hindus and Muslims derive their inspirations from different sources of history.  They have different epics, their heroes are different, and they have different episodes.  Very often the hero of one is foe of the other, and likewise, their victories and defeats overlap.  To yoke together two such nations under a single state, one as a numerical minority and the other as a majority, must lead to growing discontent and the final destruction of any fabric that may be so built for the government of such a state.”

The statement of Pakistan Resolution (Lahore Resolution) said, “No constitutional plan would be workable or acceptable to the Muslims unless geographical contiguous units are demarcated into regions which should be so constituted with such territorial re-adjustments as may be necessary.  That the areas in which the Muslims are numerically in majority as in the North-Western and Eastern zones of India should be grouped to constitute independent states in which the constituent units shall be autonomous and sovereign.  

That adequate, effective and mandatory safeguards shall be specifically provided in the constitution for minorities in the units and in the regions for the protection of their religious, cultural, economic, political, administrative and other rights of the minorities.”

Pakistan (Lahore) Resolution was drafted by Sir Sikandar Hayat Khan, Chief Minister of Punjab.

It was read by Maulvi Abul-Kasim Fazlul Huq, Chief Minister of Bengal and was seconded by Chaudhry Khaleeq-uz-Zaman.

It was accepted by Maulana Zafar Ali Khan from Punjab, Sardar Aurangzeb from North-West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwah), Sir Abdullah Haroon from Sindh, Qazi Esa from Baluchistan.

23rd March is called “Pakistan Day” because on this day Lahore Resolution was unanimously acknowledged by the leaders of Bengal, Baluchistan, Punjab, Sindh and North-West Frontier Province as the legal declaration for a separate Muslim state.

This resolution is based upon the Two-Nation Theory (TNT) presented by Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, which actually is the reinforcement of the Qur’anic concept of Muslims as a distinguished nation among world communities.  Kalimah Tayyabah (the pure declaration) “There is no deity but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah” is the soul of this theory which is an incentive sufficient to unite Muslims for the cause of Islam.

The prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) gradually developed into an idea, a theory, a statement, a demand, a campaign/movement and finally into a state called Pakistan.  At this point, from achievement to identity and from liberty to responsibility for all Pakistanis.  The idea behind making of Pakistan is similar to the state of Madinah and in that relevance Pakistan has already initiated the process of global domination of Islam.  In making of Pakistan, the world has witnessed that the ‘Victory of Makkah’, as peaceful and unarmed as it was, is possible in any era.  Yet, the struggle to defend it is as bloody as it could be for any promised piece of land.

٢٣ مارچ یوم پاکستان کہلاتا ہے کیونکہ ١٩٤٠ میں اسی دن بنگال، سندھ، بلوچستان، پنجاب اور سرحد کے رہنماؤں نے متفقہ طور پر نہ صرف علامہ اقبال کے دو نظریے کی بنیاد پر تیار کی گئی قرار داد لاہور کو پاس کیا بلکہ قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح کی قیادت میں اس پر عمل کرنے کا بھی عہد کیا… علامہ اقبال کا دو قومی نظریہ اصل میں اعادہ ہے قرآن کے اس تصور کا کہ مسلمان دنیا کی ہر قوم سے مختلف اور منفرد ہے… اور کلمہ طیبہ “نہیں کوئی عبادت کے لائق سواۓ الله کے، محمد الله کے رسول ہیں” اس نظریہ کی روح ہے… جو کہیں کے بھی مسلمانوں کو کسی مقصد کے لئے متحد کرنے کے لئے کافی ہے… 

رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا… “مجھے خطہ ہند سے ٹھنڈی ہوائیں آتی ہیں”… آپ صلی الله علیہ وسلم کے ان الفاظ نے ایک نیک شگون سے، ایک خیال، ایک نظریہ، ایک اعلان، ایک مسودے، ایک قرار داد، ایک مطالبے، ایک تحریک اور با الآخر ایک خطہ زمین کی شکل اختیار کر لی جو پاکستان کہلایا… قیام پاکستان کے ساتھ ہی یہ نظریہ، کامیابی سے شناخت اور آزادی سے ذمہ داری بن گیا… قیام پاکستان اور خلافت مدینہ کا محرک اور محور یہی نظریہ ہے… اور اس لحاظ سے پوری دنیا میں اسلامی خلافت کی طرف اٹھنے والا پہلا قدم… قیام پاکستان کی صورت میں ساری دنیا کو یہ یقین جو جانا چاہیے کہ خلافت مدینہ اور فتح مکہ جیسے عظیم اور غیر مسلح معرکے آج چودہ سو سال بعد بھی قابل عمل ہیں… البتہ انکی حفاظت اور انکا دفاع بھر پور مسلح  طاقت کے بغیر ممکن نہیں..ا 

پاکستان کوئی عام ملک نہیں… پاکستان کے دفاع اور اس کی ترقی کی ذمہ داری ہر نسل کے ہر شخص پرعائد ہوتی ہے… بالکل اسی طرح جس طرح باقی زندگی کے کام… پچھلے چودہ سو سالوں میں دنیا کا ہر عقیدہ، ہر نظریہ، ہر نظام اور ہر قرارداد آزمائی جا چکی ہے سواۓ اسلام کے… آج ساری دنیا کی نظریں پاکستان کی طرف اٹھی ہوئیں ہیں… بہت سی دشمنی میں، کچھ حیرت میں اور کچھ سوالیہ نشان بن کر… کہ پاکستان ان شخت ترین حالات سے کیسے نمٹے گا… اندرونی طور پر جرائم، جہالت، غفلت اور بیرونی مداخلت اور دشمنی… اور یہی چیلنج ہے آج کے ہر پاکستانی کے لئے… 

یہ صحیح ہے کہ دشمنوں کو اندر تک رسائی سیاست دانوں اور غداروں نے دی… لیکن اس سے بڑی اور بری حقیقت یہ ہے کہ وہ غدار چاہے کسی محکمےمیں ہوں،  ہمارے ہی عام گھروں اور خاندانوں کے لوگ تھے جن کو ہم نے نظر انداز کیا… اور دشمن تخریبی کاروائیوں کے لئے ہمارے ہی درمیان گھومتے پھرتے ہیں… نہ ہم آج تک انھیں پہچان سکے اور نہ انکے خلاف حکمرانوں کو کسی اقدام پر مجبور کرسکے… یہ ہماری غفلت اور نا اہلی ہے… اسی کو جہالت کہتے ہیں اور یہی سب سے برا جرم بھی ہے…

الله پاکستان کی حفاظت فرماۓ… آمین

Handover Pakistan to Children

Pakistani children and teenagers are too much obsessed with driving bikes and cars. I have seen ten, eleven, twelve year old driving rickshaws to support their families financially.  It is violating the traffic laws but I support it.  Earning by driving rickshaw or cars at young age is better than working at auto-workshops, at construction or anywhere as a child labour.  Children are not even recognized as a junior employee.  They are paid extremely low salary, are sexually and physically abused by adults at work and have no fixed hours.  Driving on their own, at least they are protected from too many miseries.

All of these young and excellent drivers have no license and cannot get one until they are 18.  They have to bribe police for letting them run without official permit.  At the same time, their poor financial conditions don’t allow them to sit home and wait til they are 18.

Beside that, the youngsters of well-off families have their elder’s permission to break laws and drive unlicensed without knowing traffic rules.

We can’t control both these groups of children as they don’t have places for physical activities to release their energy.  Also, if we want this nation to stand tall on its foundation of TNT, we should not condemn innocent children playing grown ups for the sake of their families.  Instead, they should be appreciated for their hard work and passion to make them useful at this young age.  We are very unfortunate that we keep ignoring children’s role in building our society.

If children have ability to become good drivers at early age, instead of stopping them or accusing them, we can do something about their professional training.

The CDGK (City District Government Karachi) has completely failed in building natural or better say nature conservation parks and playgrounds.  We can turn some of them into race tracks or driving tracks and let children drive their two, three, four-wheels vehicles.  We can put traffic signs and wooden murals illustrating landmarks.  It can be made two stories high by making curved flyovers.  Children can also be trained for proper parking and given points on that.

As politicians and government of Pakistan is of no use for this purpose.  People can do this on their own and arrange guards to protect these driving parks from drug addicts, kidnappers and other criminals.

Children Blogging

Most people think of blogging as a leisure time activity and a matter of interest.  Parents usually think of blogging a waste of time for children.  This is not true.  The advantages of blogging are numerous.

1- Blogging can be an educational activity and fun for children.  A blog can be like a book and a personal diary for a child.  

a) Children can add pages with different topics, such as nouns, verbs, adjectives or singular and plural or gender, antonym and synonym, etc.

b) They can add pages by subjects, such as English, Maths, Urdu, Science, Pakistan Studies, etc.

c) They can draw pictures on paper or on computer or take photos from mobile and write a post about it.

d) They can write about their daily events or a  paragraph on how they spent the day or about their friend or their favourite teacher.

2- Blogs can assist teachers in evaluating children’s academic progress.  At primary level, students’ progress shouldn’t be judged by their report cards at the end of the term or year.

a) Children can learn more while preparing a multi-functional report or project than just sit and memorize the contents.  For example, they can enjoy writing a book report with colour and pictures, preparing a weather report or chart with stickers and cutouts, making a chronological list of historical events in different colours, etc.  They can do that all easily on computer because they will enjoy looking for suitable photos and changing colour and size of text.

b) Teachers can guide students to follow punctuation and double check to correct any mistakes before publishing it.  For example,

- The first letter of each sentence and all proper names  should be capitalized.

- There should be one character space after a comma and two character space after a period/full-stop.

c) They can learn new words while using online dictionaries and thesaurus for meaning, synonyms and antonyms.

d) Sharing a video and write about it can be fun too for children.  Teachers can figure out how observant is the child and how does he/she expresses his feelings and opinions.

3- Blogging can provide as an incentive to improve memory skills.  Students usually forget what they memorize when asked by parents or tutors.  Instead, they can write their answers, essays or anything they memorize to check if they remember it.

a)  Children need to know the correct method of memorizing things. They should be asked to read the answer or paragraph at least 10 times (reading means saying the words or sentences loud, not silent reading).  Then take a break or read somethings else and then try to recall the answer or whatever they had memorized.

b) Teachers must consider the age and level of student before giving them anything to learn by heart.  In Pakistan, even 1st Graders are given a page long essays, spelling of difficult words that their meanings are not easy to understand, definition of hard terminologies, etc.  This is not a good way of learning, it damages their brainy skills.

c) The best memory skills can be developed by improving listening skills and taking dictations.  Taking dictations are not only an aid for memory skills but best for timed-writing.

d) Most online dictionaries do have pronunciation option available in text and for listening.  Children can play it repeatedly until they learn to pronounce the words correctly.

4- Through blogging, children gradually learn surfing websites and sorting out their desired information.

a) Children usually copy and paste information from the first couple of sites that appear on the screen, without editing it.  Teachers must specify what kind of information is required for the assignment.  For example, if it is a biography, then it should have date of birth, place of birth, education, work and achievements, etc.  If it is to write about a battle, then it must mention the date it was started, the causes, the people and countries who were involved in it and how it ended.

b) Surfing websites also helps in comparing among different sites on same topic and gathering suitable information.

5- Children learn to communicate with others in writing.  

a) Online readers may read the posts and leave comments.  The comments could be in form of an appraisal, a note of thank, a question, a correction or a criticism.  They learn how to respond to different notes by replying to the comments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blog, Blogging, Bloggers

BLOG:

A blog serves many purposes; a personal diary, a photo album, a newspaper, a source of information, a book, a teaching aid, even as a forum to discuss issues sometimes.

BLOGGING:

Blogging is a process of writing anything on a blog.

Blogging as a personal journal is not so common in Pakistan.

That is because people here don’t discuss and express themselves.  They utter what they hear and repeat the popular echos in their surroundings, such as ‘Talibans are (the only) extremists”, “women have no rights and no life”, “government should adopt celebrities and pet them in their old age”.  God knows if I would be the sole government, I would beat them asking ‘what did you do with millions you earned in your peak?”

Also, in our schools and colleges, we don’t focus on writing skills.  Mostly ‘professional writers’ do writing for children.  ”Professional Writers”? – I mean there is always a nerd found in every neighbourhood who is good in writing essays, applications, paragraphs, answers, stories for students – and they do it for free.

BLOGGERS:

Most bloggers are men and they love to write on politics.  Politics in Pakistan is exercised opposite of how it is practiced in other countries.  So, writing on Pakistani politics and politicians means criticism and providing evidences of their corruption – which is very good I think because if not the courts of Pakistan, then at least the world must know who is responsible for what is Pakistan going through.

Among literate politicians, I think only Marvi Memon has a blog on wordpress and seems like she barely touches it.

I don’t know if any athletes or sports people do any blogging, even after their retirement.  Just imagine how helpful would it be for new players, in both ways; reading and speaking – if they mention their events and interviews in form of dialogues.

Actors, actresses, models, singers – hmmmm, if they do start blogging, I am sure that would consists of their photos and nothing else.

Women don’t do blogging.  If they do, they usually love to manage religious blogs and copy and paste Qur’anic verses, ahadith and commentaries of famous scholars.  That could be because Pakistanis fear to express their own opinion on any Qur’anic verse or hadith.  They don’t dare to raise a question on any commentary or contradict any scholar.  While they must understand that Islamic knowledge is not made inaccessible to common minds.

Allah Subhana-w-Ta’alaa invites people towards Quranic understanding, “and We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?” Surah Al-Qamar/The Moon 17,22,32,40

Four times in one surah, mentioning Qur’an is easy to understand by anyone – how can anyone get the guidance without opening and raising questions on it.  Raising questions is not the sign of doubting in Quran but to get knowledge.  The companions raised questions to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and he replied in the best manner.

Back to blogging, non-political and non-religious blogs usually have more photographs and less writing.

Children are teenagers do not appreciate the idea of  ”write in your own words” or ‘make sentences’.  They beg elders to write application, essays, paragraphs, summaries, stories, RTC (reference to context), even sentences.  Blogging can be fun for them.  They can start blogging by adding photos of animals, flowers, cartoon and write two or three sentences about them.  Children can take photos from mobile and their own drawings and post them in their blogs.  During exams, they add a page ‘exam preparation’ where they can write whatever the answers they have memorized.

URDU BLOGS:

Urdu blogs are very interesting and could be very helpful for students if they start studying on internet.  They have children stories, folk-tales, jokes, riddles, poetry, excerpts from famous Urdu novels and articles, the biography of poets and authors and commentary on their work.  They only thing missing (or may be I haven’t seen it yet) is the reading and writing fun for Montessori levels.  Students can participate on Urdu forums and share their own opinion.  It is not that hard.  Just type on any Urdu typing page and copy/paste on the site.  It is better than chatting on phone and on net for no reason.

SOS – Dr. A. Q. Khan

Dr. Khan,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu jiddun katheerun

Many many good wishes, love, respect and salute to the hero and pride of Pakistan.  No doubt, you are an equivalent to the founders of this country.  The team led by Quaid-e-Azam made Pakistan possible through sacrifices.  Your team made it deterrent through your knowledge.  Both teams were stimulated by the core message of great Dr. Allama Iqbal, their passion and determination.

You are also a great lover of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and admirer of Allama Iqbal.  He (pbuh) said, “For a believer, this world is a prison.”  You are under house arrest for years but that is not a matter of sympathy.  You are just under trial by your Creator.  It has happened to prophets and all rightful activists of the world.  He helped them and He will help you.

You must have been through Iqbal’s poetry, the verse;

 غلامی میں نہ کام آتی ہیں شمشیریں نہ تدبیریں

جو ہو ذوق یقین پیدا تو کٹ جاتی ہیں زنجیریں

“In slavery, neither swords or plans are effective, But when the taste for certainty is created, then the chains are cut.”

This nation’s land, resources and minds are in control of ignorant degree-holders, non-degree holders and the students of Arts Group, in which every subject is being taught as art.  The elites, the rulers, the politicians like Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Altaf Hussain are scars Pakistan’s shining face.   They are and their entire team, though are very technical in dealing with people, they all lack scientific minds – just imagine Tehmina Doltana (2008) as the federal minister for Science and Technology while she doesn’t even fit for Home Economics group.  The entire population, including even cats and dogs, expect nothing from these “lot of imbeciles” called our politicians regarding education.

The point is that, you can still serve this country with the power of your knowledge, which is mightier than thousand swords.  You can help Pakistani children in understanding the scientific terminology by easy-to-understand examples, through website, a blog or even your facebook account.  I know that other countries have produced many programs for children explaining these concepts, but our parents and children don’t have habit of watching English programs.  Their media choice is limited to cheapness and obscenity of Indian movies.

I am talking about the little children who go to schools and get questions in homework which Science teachers are unable to explain.  The scientific terms, not their definitions but their significance, uses, causes and effects in form of simple sentences.  That is because of our English curriculum, students are unable to write one sentence on their own.

For example:

- the terms like, adaptation, analysis, apparatus, atmosphere, atom, bacteria, Big Bang, biodiversity, carbon, cell, chaos, climate, DNA, ecosystem, electricity, electron, element, energy, environment, enzyme, equilibrium, error, ethology, evolution, experiment, force, fossil, friction, galaxy, gene, genetically modified organism, gravity, greenhouse effect, H₂O, heat, hydrocarbon, infinity, intelligence,Internet, life, light, link, magnetism, mass, matter, measurement, metabolism, mind, mole, molecule, motion, mutation, natural selection, nebula, neuron, organism, osmosis, particle, periodic table, pH, photosynthesis, planet, pollution, pressure, probability, protein, pulsar, quantum, quark, radioactivity, reaction, relativity, reproduction, research, rule, science, scientific method, solution, space, species, star, stem cell, streamlining, symbiosis, systems, technology, temperature, theory, time, tissue, tumour, Universe, upthrust/buoyancy, vacuum, virus, wave and thousands more….

I have read few books about how Pakistan became a nuclear power and your biography.  Would you please be a little more generous and write your autobiography for children to read.  In short and simple sentences, illustrate your feelings for Pakistan as a child, your good old memories, then your passion to make Pakistan powerful, and how smilingly you faced all the trials.

Just forget about the idiot politicians.  This is why they do what they are doing so everyone focus on them keep criticizing and cursing them.  Beat them and defeat them by finding a new way of communicating to the future of Pakistan.  These children need new words, new sentences, new paragraphs, new essays of their own people to read.

I expect an immediate response to my humble requests.

Remember there are many people who adore you and expect a lot from you.  Who would know better than you how to break the chains.
