Biggest Threat for Pakistani Youth

“Why should Allah punish you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him. And Allah is Ever All-Appreciative (of good), All-Knowing.  Allah does not like that the evil should be uttered in public except by him who has been wronged. And Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Knower.”  Surah An-Nisa/The Women 147/148

Altaf ibn-Yazeed and his gang leaders including so-called educationists are the biggest threat to Pakistan’s ideology and sovereignty.  This is what I believe in.  They are up to something really dangerous when they are silent.  They are an expert in doing nothing and stealing others’ movements.

Their wicked-faced cunning leaders Mustafa Kamal, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Farooq Sattar, Ishratul-ibad, Khushbakht Shuja’at, Faisal Subzwari, Raza Haroon and others are silent.  They claim 80% control on Karachi on the basis of votes but pretend helpless, hopeless and careless about what’s going on the streets of Karachi.

Don’t they think about what they are doing to humans of Karachi?  Instead of making Pakistan a strong and independent country, they are reversing the process back to 1947, living under Hindu-British rule.  Do they feel satisfied on murders done by their party terrorists?   Don’t they fear the same fate for their children because what goes around comes around?  The bloodshed doesn’t go waste.

What Bilawal Zardari and Afza Altaf ibn Yazeed have to do with Pakistan?  They are British citizens.  I demand changing the name of Afaza bint-e-Yazeed flyover to someone genius in Pakistan.

Why is Britain using British citizens to disintegrate Pakistan?  So Bilwal Zardari and Afza bint-e-Yazeed are the biggest challenge for my children’s generation.  I teach my children, “These two snakelets  are your enemy, they are born to kill your rights and lead you to poverty and ignorance.  Always see them as the enemy of Pakistan and curse British government too.”

How unfortunate are these two born to the most cursed, insulted and hated fathers of Pakistan!  Normal fathers build nations and their children stand proud.  These two got the slaves who break nations and cause bloodshed.  Don’t Bilawal, Maryam Nawaz and Afza Yazeed feel ashamed of having murderers and criminals as fathers?

“اور الله کیا کرے گا تمہیں عذاب دے کر اگر تم شکر کرو اور ایمان رکھو اور الله تو قدر شناس اور علم والا ہے… اور الله بری بات کے کھلے اظہار کو پسند نہیں کرتا سواۓ اسکے جس پر ظلم ہوا ہو اور الله سننے والا، جاننے والا ہے… ” سوره النساء ١٤٧، ١٤٨

یا الله! کیا آپ الطاف یزید کو اب بھی چھوڑے رکھیں گے؟  کیا آپ اس سے اور اسکے پیچھے چلنے والے ایک، ایک شخص سے حساب نہیں لیں گے؟  کیا آپ انکو عبرت کا نشان نہیں بنائیں گے؟

آپ کو تو معلوم ہے کہ طالبان سے سو گنا زیادہ تو پاکستان کے سیاستدان پاکستان کے لئے خطرہ ہیں… کیا آپ انکو ابھی اور ڈھیل دیں گے کہ یہ اسی شیطانی رستے پے چلتے ہوۓ، لوگوں کا خوں بہاتے ہوۓ مکمّل کفر میں ڈوب جائیں کہ کوئی حجت باقی نہ رہے؟ 

کیا ہمارے بچے ان قاتلوں کے بچوں کے ظلم اور تشدّد کا نشانہ بنیں گے؟  کیا آپ نے پاکستان کو ان قاتلوں اور انسانیت کے مجرموں کے حال پر چھوڑ دیا ہے؟

یا الله، کسی کو بھی نہیں پتہ لیکن آپ کو تو پتہ ہے کہ یہ کراچی کا بدمعاش کون ہے اور اسکے ساتھی کون کون ہیں اور کیا کیا کر رہے ہیں…

یا الله! دیکھیں کوئی اور آپ سے انکی شکایات کرے نہ کرے، لیکن میں کر رہی ہوں  اور اپنا کام بھی کر رہی ہوں… میں تو اپنے بچوں کو بتاتی ہوں کہ بلاول زرداری، افضا الطاف یزید برطانوی شہری ہیں اوریہ دونوں اور مریم نواز پاکستان کے اور تمھارے دشمن… یہ برطانوی حکومت اور امریکہ کے کہنے پر اپنے قاتل اور دہشت گرد باپوں کے ذریعے تمہاری نسلوں کو برباد کرنے کے لئے تیار کے جا رہے ہیں… 

الله سبحانہ و تعالی! آپ انکو سزا دیں گے نہ اسی دنیا میں جیسے فرعون، شدّاد، نمرود، ابو لہب، ابو جہل اور یزید کو دی تھی؟

دیکھیں یزید کی سزا الطاف کو اور اسکے ماننے والوں کو، شدّاد کی سزا نواز شریف کو، ابو لہب والی سزا زرداری کو، ابو جہل والی سزا فضل الرحمن ڈیزل کو اور فرعون والی سزا اسفندیار ولی خان کو… ٹھیک ہے…

Wine

“They ask you concerning wine and gambling. Say: “In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit.”  Surah Al-Baqarah/The Cow 219

“You who believe intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination, of Satan’s handiwork: eschew such (abomination), that you may prosper….. Satan’s plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from salah (prayer): will you not then abstain?” Surah Al-Maidah /The Table Spread 90-91

Definition of any intoxication according to Qur’an:

1-  Drinking wine is a sin.  (The definition of sin is disobedience/deliberate violation/transgression/offense to Divine laws)

2- Drinking wine has some profits too but less in proportionate to sin.  

3- Drinking wine/intoxication is an abomination.  (The definition of abomination is detestation/abhorrence/disliked)

4- Wine is Satan’s handiwork.   

5- Wine/intoxication develops feelings of hatred among humans.

6- Wine/intoxication creates enmity among humans.

7-  Wine/intoxication stops from salah (five obligatory daily prayers)

8- Wine/intoxication hinders/obstructs from remembering Allah (SWT).

THOSE WHO CLAIM “DRINKING WINE” IS NOT PROVEN HARAM (PROHIBITED) FROM QUR’AN:

I am not quoting the ahadith (words of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) as many Muslims have issues on their authenticity.  I say sorry to my Prophet (pbuh) for that.  But no Muslim would have a doubt on the words of Qur’an.  The above verses have no words that are difficult to understand.  

Allah (SWT) is free of all needs, likes and dislikes.  Nothing can cause profit and loss to Him.  He Almighty doesn’t want us to drink wine or to be intoxicated.  If I am not a complete fool, I did not read the words like a straight order, “don’t drink wine or wine is prohibited on you”.  I only read the words as “drinking wine is a sin”.  Sin in simple words is “doing something that God doesn’t want us to do OR not doing something that God has told us to do.  

So, the condition to abstain from wine/intoxication is not based upon logically proved advantages or disadvantages of wine but the obedience or disobedience of God Almighty.  Even then, Allah (SWT) has mentioned few disadvantages, if people do care about them.

Drinking wine is a matter of faith.  Unfortunately in Pakistan, it is not considered a sin at government, elite or any level.  Drinking wine is crime, only if poor people are hospitalized and report it to police.  Not even those who don’t drink wine talks about it.

الله اور اسکے رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم کی قائم کو ہوئی حدود کو توڑنا گناہ کہلاتا ہے… انسانوں کے بناۓ ہوۓ قوانین کو توڑنا جرم کہلاتا ہے… اور جرم کی تعریف یہ رکھی ہے کہ وہ عمل جو دوسرے انسان کو نقصان پہنچاۓ یا اس کے ساتھ زبردستی اسکی مرضی کے خلاف کیا جاۓ… اور انسانوں کو نقصان پہنچنے اور زبردستی کرنے کے عمل کو ہی گناہ کا درجہ بھی دے دیا گیا ہے… اور یہ یقین بھی کر لیا گیا ہے کہ کل دین اور مقصد حیات یہی ہے…

شراب، زنا با الرضا، جوا، عریانی و فحاشی، سود، سور، مردار…. ذاتی پسند اور نا پسند ہے اور بنیادی حقوق…. جس کو برا لگے اپنی آنکھیں بند کر لے… الله سبحانہ و تعالی کی ذات اس سارے قصّے میں کہاں ہے… الله سے انسانوں کا تعلق صرف اتنا رہ گیا ہے کہ خدا انسان کی بغاوتوں کے باوجود بس دیتا ہی رہے اور انسان اسکے احکامات کی دھجیاں اڑاتا رہے… یہ اسکا ذاتی معاملہ ہے…

“اور تم سے پوچھتے ہیں حکم شراب اور جوۓ کا… تو کہو، ان میں گناہ بڑا ہے، اور فائدے بھی ہیں لوگوں کو… اور انکا گناہ فائدے سے بڑا ہے”… سوره البقرہ ٢١٩ 

“اے ایمان والو! یہ جو ہے شراب اور جوا اور بت اور پانسے، گندے کام ہیں شیطان کے، سو ان سے بچتے رہو، شاید تمہارا بھلا ہو”… سوره المائدہ ٩٠ 

“شیطان یہی چاہتا ہے، کہ ڈالے تم میں دشمنی اور بغض، شراب سے اور جوۓ سے، اور روکے تم کو الله کی یاد سے اور نماز سے، اور پھر اب تم باز آؤگے”…. سوره المائدہ ٩١

کئی سالوں سے آۓ دن کچی شراب اور زہریلی شراب کے پکڑے جانے کی خبریں سن سن کر تںگ آ گئی ہوں… شراب پکڑ لیتے ہیں، پی پلا کرانکی خالی بوتلیں چھوڑ دیتے ہیں… شراب والے ان میں شراب بھرکر دوبارہ بیچنا شروع کر دیتے ہیں… غریب اسے پیتے ہیں، ہسپتال جاتے ہیں اور اکثرمرجاتے ہیں… پولیس میں رپورٹ کرائی جاتی ہے… پولیس والے پھر شراب پکڑ لیتے ہیں… اور یہ سلسلہ چلتا رہتا ہے…. یہ کاروائی صرف غریبوں کے لئے ہوتی ہے جن کے دماغوں میں یہ بات بٹھا دی جاتی ہے کہ شراب غموں کو بھلا دیتی ہے… محبوب روٹھ گیا تو شراب پینا شروع کردو… بھئی ایک انسان گیا سو گیا، اس میں الله کے قوانین توڑنے کی کیا ضرورت ہے… حالات خراب ہیں شراب پینا شروع کردو… تو کیا اس سے حالات ٹھیک ہو جاتے ہیں…

ہاں امیروں کو کوئی اس لئے نہیں پکڑتا کیونکہ انہوں نے شراب کو حلال کر رکھا ہے… وہ شراب غموں کو بھلانے کے لئے نہیں بلکہ خوشیوں کا لطف بڑھانے کے لئے پیتے ہیں… بہت سوں کو یہ غیر مسلموں میں اپنا مقام اعلی بنانے کے لئے پینی پڑتی ہے… اور کچھ لوگوں کی فطرت ہوتی ہے کہ الله اور اس کے رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم کی حدود توڑیں… اور پھر امیرامراء جس طرح بھی مریں، شراب کی عزت پر کوئی آنچ نہیں آنے دیتے، نہ اس کے خلاف پولیس میں رپورٹ کرتے ہیں… وہ شراب کی عزت کرتے ہیں اور پولیس انکی….

دیکھیں نہ سارے سیاستدان، حکمران، جرنیلز، اداکار، گلوکار، شاعر، فنکار، اعلی عہدیداران… کون ہے جو پاکستان میں شراب نہیں پیتا… انکی تو تصویریں بھی شراب پیتے ہوۓ اخباروں میں چھپ جائیں، ٹی وی پر آجائیں تب بھی انھیں کوئی فرق نہیں پڑتا کیونکہ اسلامی جمہوریہ پاکستان میں شراب امیروں کی عیّاشی ہے مجبوری نہیں… مزے کی بات کہ جو لوگ شراب نہیں پیتے یا پینا چھوڑ چکے ہیں وہ بھی دوسروں کے پینے کو برا نہیں سمجھتے اور نہ اسکے خلاف آواز اٹھاتے ہیں…

اگر کوئی ایک ایسا نکتہ ہے جہاں امیراورغریب ایک ہی جیسا رویہ اختیار کریں تو وہ ہے شراب… قرآن سے ثابت ہونے یا نہ ہونے کو تو الگ کر دیں… اگر انسان کی تہذیب اور نفاست کے تقاضوں کو ہی سامنے رکھ لیں تو کون نفیس انسان ایسا ہو گا جو گلی سڑی بدبودار چیز کو ہاتھ لگانا بھی پسند کرے گا… اور وہ بھی لطف لینے کے لئے… شراب پینا توخود ایک ذہنی اورنفسیاتی بیماری کی علامت ہی نہیں بلکہ اس آدمی یا عورت کے قوت ارادی کمزور ہونے کی نشانی بھی ہے…. کیونکہ گندگی اور غلاظت کو کھانے پینے والا کوئی نارمل آدمی یا عورت تو نہیں ہو سکتے… اس قسم کے کمزور ارادہ اور ذہنی بیمار لوگوں کو کسی بھی قسم کا عہدہ یا ذمہ داری کیسے دی جا سکتی ہے… یا ایسے لوگوں کی باتوں کا بھی کیا اعتبار کس نشے میں کی گئی ہوں… نشہ آور لوگ خود کو گناہ گار نہ سمجھیں تو ٹھیک لیکن آئین کے لحاظ سے قانون کے مجرم ہیں، چاہے وہ کوئی بھی نشہ ہو…

لیکن کس کس کو پکڑیں… زرداری، پرویز مشرف، شاہ محمود قریشی، بلاول زرداری، عتیقہ اوڈھو، وڈیرے، چودھری، سردار، جرنیلز، پرانے نۓ اداکار گلوکار شاعر وغیرہ وغیرہ… 

ایسے لوگوں کو انسانوں کے بنیادی حقوق تو دے جا سکتے ہیں، بنیادی احترام بھی کیا جا سکتا ہے، انکے ساتھ ملازمت اور کاروبار بھی کیا جا سکتا ہے… لیکن ان سے میل جول رکھنے، ساتھ مل بیٹھنے، وقت گذارنے کو کس کا دل چاہے گا… خیرامیروں کی حرکتوں سے تو الله سبحانہ و تعالی خود ہی نمٹ لیں گے… انکو تو ڈھیل ملی ہوئی ہے…

ہاں غریبوں کو رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم اور صحابہ کرام کے قصّے سناۓ جا سکتے ہیں کہ ان پر تو کیا کیا گذرا لیکن انہوں نے الله کی حدود کو پامال نہیں کیا… لیکن آج ہم نے غربت کا معیار روٹی، کپڑے، مکان اور اختیار کا نہ ہونا رکھ دیا ہے… کوئی محنت کر کے دو روٹی کما ۓ تو اس پر اتنا ترس کھاتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنی کوششوں پر شرمندہ ہو جاۓ… اور سوچے کہ وہ دنیا کا ناکام ترین آدمی یا عورت ہےکیونکہ اسکے بچے برگر اور پیزا نہیں کھاتے، گاڑیوں میں نہیں پھرتے… انھیں یہ احساس دلاتے ہیں کہ با اختیار اور کامیاب لوگ وہ ہیں جن کے آگے پیچھے چارتعریفیں کرنے والے خوشامدی یا فینزہوں، انکے لئے ہزاروں لوگ نعرے لگائیں اور اپنی قیمتی زندگی قربان کرنے کا عہد کریں… انکی تقدیر بدلنے کے نام پر انکو لوٹیں… پتہ نہیں کونسے اختیار اور کونسے انصاف کا لالچ دیتے ہیں…

الله سبحانہ و تعالی سورہ الرعد میں فرماتے ہیں کہ…”بے شک دلوں کو اطمینان الله ہی کے ذکر سے ملتا ہے”…

اور پاکستان کے سیاست دان ظلم اور دہشت کا نظام لا کر اور لبرل لوگ قرآنی احکامات کے خلاف دلیلیں لا کر انسانوں کو اسی یاد سے دور کردینا چاہتے ہیں… حتی کہ دینی جماعتیں اپنے عالموں اور لیڈرز کو خدا سے آگے لے آتے ہیں… جبھی تو اتنی ایجادوں اور اتنی سہولتوں کے باوجود دلوں کو سکون میسر نہیں…

What world need to know about Pakistani people?

The worldwide propaganda against Pakistan of being a terrorist country is one of the biggest challenges for Pakistani people.  This is true that America and Western powers are the root cause of terrorism and Holocaust in Muslim world.  There are many politicians and few religious organizations in Muslim countries are practically involved in strengthening their grip on common Muslims.  Now their children are ready to inherit the ranks and seats from their evil elders.

The world need to know that Pakistani people have morally declined like the rest of the population of the world but they are not terrorists.

The world need to know that Pakistani people are trapped by and are the victim of the global network of local and foreign political evils.  They need moral support of other citizens of the world to break this network.

The world need to know that regardless of all the miseries and trials, Pakistani people have potential to produce world record holders, are playing their best role in many countries.

The world need to know that Pakistanis are humans too.  They have feelings, have dreams and can perform miracles.  They can take a stand, they can fight for what is right.

More than six decades, they are still trying hard to change the system and get rid of feudalism and corruption.  They need moral support from the so-called civilized world.

But there is something that Pakistani people need to realize that there are elements among them who are provide a strong illegitimate support to corrupt leaders.  People can weaken their strength by eliminating these elements among them.  Otherwise, it will continue to be a non-stop struggle for generations.

These American hired criminals are the main reason for terrorism in Pakistan. Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Shareef, Altaf Hussain, Shehbaaz Shareef, Bilawal Zardari, Asfand Yaar Wali Khan, Rehman Malik, etc.

الله بھلا کرے حبیب جالب کا… بڑا جہاد کر گئے… زرداری، نواز شریف، الطاف حسین کو ایک ہی بند میں بالترتیب وڈیرہ، لٹیرا اور اندھیرا بھی کہہ گئے اور یہ بھی بتا گئے کہ انہیں نہیں ہونا چاہیے… اپنی قوم کو اپنا سمجھ کر جگانے اور ملک کو اپنا سمجھ کر بنانے اور بچانے کے معاملے میں علامہ اقبال کے بعد بہترین شاعر حبیب جالب ہیں… انکی شاعری کی ایک اچھی بات بھی ہے کہ فلموں میں گائی گئی اور وہ بھی مہدی حسن خان صاحب کی آواز میں… گویا سونے پہ سہاگہ… یہ اعجاز ہے حسن آوارگی کا، جہاں بھی گئے داستان چھوڑ آۓ  اور رقص زنجیر پہن کر بھی کیا جاتا ہے… الله حبیب جالب کو خوش رکھے…

ابھی تک تو ان سیاست دنوں کو گالیاں اور بد دعائیں ملتی رہیں جو اسی بد نظامی کی پرورش اور حفاظت کرتے کرتے بوڑھے ہوگۓ… مزے کی بات کہ انکے بچوں کو جو اب شادی شدہ اور بچوں والے ہیں ساری قوم ابھی تک بچہ ہی سمجھ رہی ہے… حالانکہ وہ مکمل طور پر اپنے بڈھے کھوسٹ ماں باپوں کے ساۓ میں تیار ہیں قوم کا مزید بیڑہ غرق کرنے کے لئے… انکی باتیں اور حرکتیں سے تو لگ ہی رہا ہے کہ کمینے پن کے اسی راستے پر چلیں گے جو نے اپنے گھر میں دیکھا…

پچھلے کئی سالوں میں سیاست میں چہرے وہی رہے اور اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ عوام کے گھروں سے انھیں غیر اخلاقی اور مجرمانہ سپورٹ ملتی رہی اور عوام میں انکے ہاتھ مضبوط کرنے والوں کے چہرے بدلتے رہے…. ایک کے بعد ایک… ہر ادارے اور ہر پیشے میں… پاکستان کے عوام اپنی توپوں کا رخ ہمیشہ لیڈرز کی طرف رکھتے ہیں… یہ نہیں سوچتے کہ اتنی اوپر بیٹھنے والے کے نیچے کس چیز کا سہارا ہے…

ہونا تو یہ چاہیے تھا کہ جہاں جہاں تعلیم ہے، وہاں وہاں خود احتسابی کا عمل شروع ہو جانا چاہیے تھا… یہی سوچ عین غلامی سے نجات کئی نشانی ہے اور یہی اقبال کا پیغام خودی اور یہی دو قومی نظریے کی جڑ… اور پاکستانی سیاستداں اور مولوی اسی بات سے تو ڈرتے ہیں کہ قوم کا کوئی فرد خودی کے ان رازوں سے با خبر نہ ہو جاۓ…. امریکہ کے ان رکھیلوں کا کام ہی یہ ہے کہ عوام کو وعدے اور دعوے کے ذریعے اپنے آگے پیچھے لگاۓ رکھو… انکو انکے بارے میں سوچنے کا موقع ہی نہ دو کہ یہ خود کچھ کرنے کے قابل ہیں… وہ جو اقبال نے کہا نہ کہ اپنی دنیا آپ پیدا کر اگر زندوں میں ہے… تو یہ سیاستداں اورمولوی اپنی دنیا میں گھسیٹ کر لے جاتے ہیں… انکو تسکین ملتی ہے کہ عوام انہیں اپنے معمولات اور باتوں کا محور بناۓ رکھے… چاہے الزام ہی لگاۓ…

جس قوم کا ہر مرد، عورت اور بچہ اردو بولنے، پڑھنے اور لکھنے کو دنیا کا مشکل ترین اور بے کار کام سمجھے… جن کے نزدیک قرآن پڑھنا اور سمجھنا صرف ملاؤں اور عالموں پر فرض ہے… جنھیں ملک اور قوم ایک مذاق اور کھیل لگیں… جو اسلام اور پاکستان زیادہ انسانیت کی بات ہی اس لئے کریں کہ کل جب ملک چھوڑ جائیں تو ان پر ملک سے بے وفائی کا الزام نہ آۓ، ظاہر ہے انسانیت کا کام تو صرف باہر ملکوں میں ہی رہ کرکیا جا سکتا ہے….  ایسی قوم بھلا سچ اور جھوٹ، غلط اور صحیح، اچھائی اور برائی میں کیا فرق کرے گی اور کیا کسی کا احتساب کرے گی…

ابھی ایک جان پہچان کی خاتون سے ملاقات ہوئی تو کہنے لگیں پتہ نہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ ہر شخص پریشان ہے، کوئی ایک بھی تو ایسا نہیں کہ پوچھنے پر کہے الحمد اللہ سب خیریت ہے… پھر بولیں سواۓ میرے ڈرائیور کے… وہ وقت اور نماز کا پابند ہے، ایماندار اور مخلص ہے… میں نے کہا کہ اتنی خصوصیات ہیں تو پریشان کیوں ہو گا… اور جو پریشان ہیں ان میں یہ کردار کی خوبیاں نہیں ہیں اس لئے انکے لئے زندگی مصیبت بن گئی ہے… خود اپنے لئے پریشانیاں پیدا کی ہوئی ہیں ورنہ الله تو ظالم نہیں ہے…

اور واقعی ابھی بھی جو ہیں وہ اچھا کھا پی رہے ہیں، اچھے سے اچھا پہن رہے ہیں، گھومنے بھی جاتے ہیں، تقریبات بھی ہو رہی ہیں، خریداری بھی ہو رہی ہے… کونسی چیز رک گئی ہے… اورشکایتیں بھی انھیں کو ہیں… اور جب چاہیں گے ملک کو چھوڑ کر بھاگ بھی جائیں گے…

اور اگر کوئی پوچھتا ہے کہ یہ سب ٹھیک کیسے ہونگے تو با با کا جملہ کانوں میں گونجتا ہے کہ حضرت مہدی اور حضرت عیسی علیہ السلام آ کر ٹھیک کریں گے… یہی بات لگتی ہے ٹھیک کہ جیسے لوگ خود کو ٹھیک ہونے کے لئے بھی حضرت مہدی اور حضرت عیسی علیہ السلام کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں…

ہر دن سیاستدانوں اور عوام کی ایک نئی اور نہ قابل یقین کہانی لے کر آتا ہے… ابھی اس کی حیرانی ختم نہیں ہوتی کہ دوسری خبر آجاتی ہے… چلیں اگر خبروں کا زمانہ ہے تو سیاستدان اور عوام یہی مقابلہ کر لیں کہ کوئی اچھی خبر بن کر دنیا کے سامنے آئیں گے…

خیر چھوڑیں… اگر انسان کا دل چاہ رہا ہو تو کسی بہانے کی ضرورت نہیں ہوتی اور اگر دل و دماغ راضی نہ ہو تو پھر دنیا بھر کی وجوہات اور نصیحتیں سمجھ نہیں آتیں…

God is mine too!

I say Allah (SWT) is my Lord.  He created me a human.  He raised me in a geographically well-defined piece of land called Pakistan.  He taught me how to talk.  He listens to my prayers.  He supplies all the provisions to me.  He enables me to see dreams, think ideas and carry on with my plannings.  He consoles me when I have fears.  He condoles me when I lose myself and helps me retrieve my spirit.  He has promised me the Paradise if I be humble and fair.  Even if I am not and I fail in doing good, I still expect Him to be Merciful and Kind to me.  For He is free of all needs and I am completely dependent upon His mercy.  

Men have abandoned the house of Allah for me though, no place for me in the mosque….but they can’t stop me from worshiping Him and remembering Him.  

I don’t feel like I am puppet to men.  I don’t need to see things through their eyes and speak their words as I have my organs functioning properly.  I don’t need men to impose their religious rulings on me.  By the Grace of God, I am an average intellectual and have low IQ.  I can read Qur’an, understand it and if I want to I can consult men scholars.  I seek refuge in Allah from depending upon men like a slave.  AMEEN!

However, I do believe in good man-ship and if it exists then women should show some good women-ship to prove that ships do run on land.  LOL!

Just like Whoopi sang, “Nothing in the world can take me away from my God”…

Women in Pakistan are produced, raised and consumed like a commodity.  After one thousand four hundred and thirty three years of coming of Islam, still the two genders have no sense of equality for each other.  Okay, gender equality is a controversial topic in religion, but they should delivered the due rights to each other as a human being at least.  Even women look upon themselves as a service to men and then they complain their dominance.

Nature receives our words as commands and responds accordingly.  What women keep reminding girls and other women fills air as their desire.  

Women don’t realize that brainwashing girls through so-called words of wisdom and as a reinforcement to their duties in Islam encourages men to act like God.  

1) Women can’t live without men and all men behave same to just tolerate them and women will be rewarded Paradise.  This sounds like admonishing women that there is no justice for them in this world.  Their entry to Paradise is conditioned to tolerate men as a deity – the angered one.  This is like challenging the verses of Qur’an and disregarding the God’s words.

“Believers, men and women, are protectors of one another. They enjoin what is just and forbid what is evil. They observe regular prayer and practice regular charity, obey God and His messenger, and on them God will pour His mercy, for God is exalted in power and right. God has promised to believers, men and women, gardens under which we were supposed to dwell therein, beautiful mansions and garden of everlasting bliss, for the greatest bliss is the pleasure of God, that is the supreme”… Surah At-Taubah/The Repentance 71

“And one of His signs that He created for you, your mate from among yourselves that you may dwell in tranquility with them and He has put love and mercy between your hearts verily in that are the signs for those who reflect”… Surah Ar-Room/The Rome 21

“Treat them (women) politely for even if you dislike them, perhaps you dislike something which God has placed much good”… Surah An-Nisa/The Women 19

2) Women should cover themselves because their grandfather or father or brothers want them to or they shouldn’t do certain things because their men don’t want them to.  I think women should fear God Almighty more than their men at home.  This is just like replacing God by men in likes and dislikes.  It is Allah (SWT) who ordained the commandments and to Him we all are answerable.  So, men and women should submit themselves to God Almighty and not to each other.

3) Men know better than women.  This statement is still unproven religiously, scientifically and logically.  I think it was a set up in jealousy to put their wisdom aside.  In other words, it was invented to kill the better-half potential.  I don’t feel low with this non-sense.  

In fact, I feel proud when I read about how Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) valued his women.  He loved and respected Hazrat Khadijah because she was his companion in every high and low.  At Hudaibiyyah, he (pbuh) listened to his wife Umm-e-Salama’s advise and changed his attire and slaughtered the animal in order to convince his companions to do so.  He helped his wives at home.  He greeted them, smiled at them, played with them, joked with them.  No wonder his wives adored him.

4) Men have the right to make final decision.  They must consult with their women especially if it has something to do with their lives and then men can announce it as their final decision.  Isn’t it fair?

5) All women go through these trials so just leave everything to God, He will deal with men.  All I could understand from this, is that women are born to play no role except what is decided for them by men, no words of their own except the script handed over to them by elders, no action unless signaled by the directors around them.  Hell to that, this is so robotic.  If this is the case, women had been created as animals or birds or they had been made in factories.  God Almighty had not given them a mind to think, a conscious to understand and a will to obey or rebel. 

Which trials do women should tolerate – God-descended or man-made?  Has God allowed men to put women into trails and be the judge to their right and wrong?  The God I believe in would never allow any of His creation to play God to their fellows.

Let God deal with men and men deal with women – why not let men and women deal with each other and let God be the judge to both? – this is the teaching of Islam after all.

6) Women should tolerate injustice for the sake of their daughters otherwise the society won’t respect them and won’t accept them.  First of all, keep aiding such society with thoughts of demoralization  and expecting no barbarism and disasters is not Islam at all.  This is not wise at all to state prejudgments about society unless you face it personally otherwise it starts happening for real and then you have to face it.  Either by choice or compulsion, tolerance is an inability to resist in a certain situation.  It should not be preached as a habit or characteristic, otherwise it guarantees the rise of brutality.  That is why Qur’an introduced the law of “equal reaction” – an eye for an eye – and believe me it does not make the world blind but warns those who love to make the world blind.

Girls or women should worry more about God’s approval or disapproval for He is the true Lord, the Exalted One.

Allah (SWT) is not the deity unjust.  He created both men and women as humans.  His book is a guidance for both men and women.  He ordained laws to establish justice between the two genders so they can lead a peaceful life for their generations.  

Women need to develop humanity in them, for themselves.  They need to remove the concept of men’s supremacy on them.  They don’t need to pretend so naive that they can’t retaliate an attack or can’t take any revenge.  Taking revenge or seeking justice is as lawful for them as it is for men.  They don’t need to be biased but it is their right to know their rights.  They must find out how their Lord Almighty addresses to them in Qur’an.  The verses of justice in Qur’an are for both men and women.  Women don’t need to rely upon men to tell them about their duties and their status.  That is because men will not be the judge on the Day of Judgment.  They will be standing beside us waiting for accountability.

People of the Book – اہل کتاب

The term “Ehl-e-Kitab” or “People of the Book” is generally used for Christians and Jews as their prophets received books/commandments from God Almighty.  A common conception which appears in mind with this term is that these two people are rejected by God Almighty and are disbelievers, which is not too much true to believe.  The term applies to Muslims as well as it does for Christians and Jews.  The important thing to know about this, is that Islam owns all the prophets from any genealogy or decent as they all stood for the cause of true faith and decent moral values. 

I just said it.  I mean just wrote it.  Is it the same thing, I mean saying and writing?  I say may be.  I think I write better than I speak and I think better than I write.  I don’t know but there is something wrong with thinking changing into means of expression.

So, I am too one of the people of the book.  I say that reading books is really fun.  Ahan, and I say that the pleasure of reading book cannot be compared with any other type of entertainment.  Most people think of reading books as a process of formal learning which is not true.  Academics books are composed by professionals for certain purposes.  That is something that ought to do and it’s not my concern.  

I am talking about reading book as for knowing the unknowns, like listening to the messages brought to us by air waves or water waves.  It reminded me of my mom’s grandmother (dadi/her father’s mother) who died at the age over 100 after seeing five generations.  She was a keen reader and when she had nothing to read, she used to take out cuttings of newspapers and magazines mostly straightened from the traditional shopping bags.

Oh no, I just remembered my books that I have lost forever.  I say you shouldn’t trust anyone to look after your books. 

Hey, mentioning waves, I heard a news that “rising sea level is a big threat to Karachi”.  I believe this is the first official warning aired by Arabian Sea which no one seems to be serious about in Karachi.  This threat by nature sounds similar to the warning of my mom saying, “play nicely, no fight or the thing you will fight over will be taken away from all of you”.

This is nature alert for wild dogs and wolves who have divided Karachi and now are fighting over it.  They don’t listen, it will be taken away.  God Almighty doesn’t care about those who don’t care about His blessings.

میرا خیال ہے کہ میں بولنے سے زیادہ لکھتی اچھا ہوں اور لکنے سے زیادہ سوچتی اچھا ہوں… بس خیالات کو اظہار تک آتے آتے کچھ گڑبڑ ہو جاتی ہے… کوئی بات نہیں کام چل جاتا ہے…

ورنہ میں نے تو کتنے ہی لوگ دیکھے کہ انکے بولنے کا جواب نہیں اور لکھنے کا سوال نہیں، کیونکہ بس بولتے ہی رہتے ہیں… لیکن انکے الفاظ خالی خالی سے لگتے ہیں…  جبھی تو مزہ نہیں آتا… بس ایک دو دفعہ سن لیا پھر بوریت ہونے لگتی ہے…

اب دیکھیں علامہ اقبال کے الفاظ کیسے زندہ لگتے ہیں… بار بار پڑھنے اور حوالے ڈھونڈنے کو دل کرتا ہے… ایسے ہی مصنف بھی ہیں جیسے کہ نسیم حجازی، ابن صفی اور اشتیاق احمد… 

مگر کوئی پڑھنے والا ہی نہیں… جبکہ ایک سچی سچی بات بتاؤں، کتاب پڑھنے کا جو لطف ہے اسے چیلنج نہیں کیا جا سکتا… بھئی بلا وجہ تو پہلا لفظ اقراء نازل نہیں ہوا تھا… ایسے ہی تو مختلف آیات کو کتابی شکل نہیں دی گئی وہ بھی اس طرح کہ اس میں باب بھی ہوں اور پنکچویشن مارکس بھی…. کتنے ہی گانے سن لیں، فلمیں اور ڈرامے دیکھ لیں… لیکن کتاب پڑھنے یا سننے کی بات اور ہے… بچوں کے لئے کوئی ایسا چینل بھی تو نہیں نہ ہی کوئی ایسا پروگرام… بس ایک برنچ ود بشریٰ میں بشریٰ انصاری کا ایک سیگمنٹ ہوتا تھا جس میں کتابوں کے بارے میں بتاتے تھے…

امی کی دادی کا سو سال سے اوپر کی عمر میں انتقال ہوا… پانچ نسلیں دیکھیں… لیکن کس کے معاملات میں نہیں بولتی تھیں… انھیں پڑھنے کا اتنا شوق تھا کہ کچھ نہ ہو تو جو سودا سلف کی تھیلیاں پہلے ملتی تھیں اخبار یا رسالوں کے صفحات سے بنی ہوئی، انھیں سیدھا کر کے رکھ لیتی تھیں… اور فرصت میں نکال کر پڑھتی تھیں…  

مجھے اپنی کتابیں یاد آ گائیں… بچپن سے جمع کی تھیں… کبھی کتابوں کے معاملے میں کسی پر بھروسہ نہیں کرنا چاہیے…

اچھا کیا یہ صحیح بات نہیں کہ اگر کتاب ہاتھ میں ہو تو اپنا آپ کتنا پڑھا لکھا لگتا ہے… ہے نا … اپنی ہی عزت کر نے کو دل چاہتا ہے… کسی دوسرے کی تعریف کی ضرورت ہی نہیں رہتی… جیسے بہت سے لوگ ہوتے ہیں نا کہ لندن سے فون کر کر کے اپنی منہ سے ہی اپنی برائیاں مار رہے ہوتے ہیں… گھٹیا پن کہلاتا ہے ایسے کرنا…

مجھ سے کوئی پوچھتا بھی ہے نہ کہ آپ کی تعریف؟ تو میں فورا کہتی ہوں کہ میں اپنے منہ سے نہیں کرتی، دوسروں کا انتظار کرتی ہوں … یا سیدھا سیدھا کہ بھئی سب تعریفیں الله سبحانہ و تعالی کے لئے ہیں…

اچھا ابھی میں نے ایک خبر سنی کہ سمندر کی سطح بلند ہونے سے کراچی کو خطرہ لاحق ہے… صدقے جاؤں بحیرہ عرب کے… تنبیہ کر رہا ہے کہ حق پرست بن کر نا حق باتیں اور حرکتیں کرو گے تو خطرہ بن کر لا حق ہو جاؤں گا… اب کس کو فرصت ہے کہ سمندروں کے پانیوں کی آواز سنے… میٹھا پانی تو ویسے ہی ضایع کر دیتے ہیں… درخت اکھاڑ کر اور گھاس لگادی جس سے کسی کو کوئی فائدہ نہیں…

پتہ ہے کیا… قدرت کا یہ اشارہ کچھ کچھ امی کی حکمت عملی سے ملتا جلتا ہوا لگ رہے ہے… ہمارے کھیل شروع کرنے سے پہلے ہی کہہ دیتی تھیں کہ مل کر کھیلنا ورنہ جس چیز پہ لڑائی ہوئی وہ سب سے چھین لی جاۓ گی… کراچی کے ساتھ بھی یہی ہو رہا ہے… جس شہر کو سب کے لئے رزق سمیٹنے کی جگہ بنایا گیا… اس پر سب کے سب اور سب کے سب نے کتوں اور بھیڑیوں کی طرح لڑنا شروع کر دیا… لہٰذا اب اسے سب سے ہی چھینے جانے کی وارننگ آ گئی ہے…

کس سے چھینا جا رہا ہے کراچی؟ ہم اہل کتاب سے؟  عجیب بات ہے لفظ “اہل کتاب” کہتے ہی عیسائی اور یہودی ذہن میں آ جاتے ہیں اور ساتھ ہی یہ بات بھی کہ وہ تو کافر اور دھتکارے ہوۓ لوگ ہیں… 

اور ہم؟ ہم اہل کتاب نہیں ہیں؟ ہم نے کیا پسند ید گی کے کام کردیے؟ ہمارا اسلام میلاد، رائیونڈ اور ٹی وی چینلز کے اسلامی پروگرا مز ، مولویوں کے دماغ تک محدود ہو کر رہ گیا ہے…….. امریکی فوجیوں کے قرآن کی بے حرمتی کرنے پر تو پوری امت آگ بگولہ ہے… اور ہمارے مدرسوں اور سکولوں میں کیا ہوتا ہے… خاص کر لڑکیوں والے یا مانٹیسوری سیکشن میں بچے باتھ رومز سے ہاتھ دھو کر نہیں نکلتے… اندر کیا کرتے ہیں یہ توکوئی سننا ہی نہیں چاہے گا… انہی جوتوں کے ساتھ وہ قالین یا دری پر بیٹھ کر قرآن یا قاعدہ پڑھتے ہیں اور ساتھ ساتھ جوتوں کو ہاتھ لگاتے رہتے ہیں…

انہی کی طرح عام اسکولوں کے بچے بھی اپنے بستوں میں اسلامیات کی کتابیں رکھتے ہیں جن میں قرآنی آیات اور احادیث لکھی ہوتی ہیں… بچے اپنے بستوں کو اسکول میں یا گاڑی میں زمین پر جوتوں کے برابر رکھتے ہیں… اکثر جگہ بھر جاۓ تو ان پر بیٹھ بھی جاتے ہیں… ڈرائیور کہتے ہیں کہ جگہ کم ہے بستے نیچے رکھدو… گھروں میں تو میں نے خود دیکھا ہے کہ خاص کر چھوٹے بچے بستوں اور کتابوں پر پیر رکھ کر کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں… جس قالین یا حصے پر کتابیں رکھی ہوں وہیں باتھ رومز سے نکل کر جوتوں سمیت آ جاتے ہیں… کیوں کہ ہمارے گھروں میں باتھ رومز کے اور باہر کے چپلیں، جوتے الگ الگ تو ہوتے نہیں، وہی سارے گھر میں پھر رہے ہوتے ہیں، وہیں جا نمازیں بچھا بچھا کر نمازیں بھی پڑھ لیتے ہیں … اگر کتابیں ہٹانے کو کہو تو پیر سے کھسکا دیتے ہیں… اگر میز پر بیٹھ کر پڑھتے ہیں تو اتنا ہاتھ پیر ہلاتے ہیں کہ قاعدہ نیچے گر جاۓ اور کفارے کا تو سسٹم ہی نہیں رہا اب…

مجھے تو یہ سمجھ نہیں آتا کہ جب مسلمان خواتین کو قرآن و احادیث سے دلچسپی نہیں… اسکولوں میں نہ کسی کو صحیح قرآن پڑھانا آتا ہے اور نہ کوئی سیکھنا چاہتا ہے تو پھر اسلامیات کی کتابیں چھاپ کر انکو بچوں کے سر پر لاد کر انکی بے حرمتی کرا نے کی کیا ضرورت ہے؟  اور جو پڑھے لکھے ماڈریٹ ہیں وہ حسن کی دیوی بن کر میلاد میں چار قصے اور دس نعتیں پڑھ سکتی ہیں یا ایک سٹیج سجا کر میلاد کنسرٹ کر سکتے ہیں… ابھی عربی سیکھنے کو کہو تو موت آ جاۓ گی… جواب ملتا ہے کہ کونسی رشتہ داری کرنی ہے عربوں سے… وقت نہیں ملتا، کوئی اچھا پڑھانے والا نہیں ملتا… سب کو چھوڑ دیں… ذرا عزت مآب خوشبخت شجاعت صاحبہ سے معلوم کر لیں اس بارے میں… سنا ہے بہت اچھا اسکول چلا رہی ہیں…

قرآنی آیات اور احادیث گھروں پر اور دیواروں پر لکھ دی جاتی ہیں… الله کے نام ماربل پر چورنگیوں پر لکھ دیے جاتے ہیں… یہ نہیں سوچتے کہ ماربل ٹوٹ جاۓ یا دیوار گرجاۓ یا چورنگی پر کچھ ہو جاۓ… تو کتنی بے ادبی ہوگی…

علامہ اقبال نے فرمایا کہ “ادب پہلا قرینہ ہے محبت کے قرینوں میں”… تو قرآن پڑھنے اور اس پر احتجاج کرنے سے پہلے یہ تو دیکھ لیں کہ اس کا خود ادب کر رہے ہیں کہ نہیں…

Do we care what is good for us?

I want to know if Coca Cola contains alcohol for real.  I hate PEPSI so I don’t care about it.  Oh yeah, and if clear soft drinks contain it too.  Those who are not into alcohol intentionally don’t have to worry about it.  They can drink ginger water instead after a heavy meal, just boil a piece of ginger in water, let it cool down and drink it.  Lemonade with a very little amount of sugar and pinch of black pepper early morning is a healthy substitute too.  Green tea is the best anyway.

I want to know if Rose Petal factory has burned down as my shopkeeper informed me a week ago.  It wasn’t on news channels.  First I thought that he is just making it up because he doesn’t have their products.  But I couldn’t find them anywhere.  Rose Petal paper-towel and facial tissues are better in quality.  I wish I had enough money to buy a big forest, have a factory and produce my own Rubik paper-towels and tissues of Bounty quality.  They taste good.  No bhaeee, not the paper roll, the rose petal.  I used eat them when I was little.

I want to know the reason of keeping dozens of chickens in tiny cages at shops.  No one speaks for them.  I think it hurts their feet to stand in a cage.  Sometimes they sit on top of each other because of insufficient space.  Their cages and the shops are always stinky.  I wish I had a little farm where I can keep my own chickens neat and clean.  The chickens bear too much torture before serving people as a meal.  A man is what he eats and may be that is why people torture each other.

I want to know if Islam is the part of humanity or humanity is the part of Islam.  People, just like being the key resource, are the key runner of the entire system.  People are not God, they shouldn’t be treated as God, they shouldn’t play God, they shouldn’t try to ignore God and shouldn’t try to replace God with people.  

Sharmeen Ubaid Chinoy after winning the Oscar, said that she will keep working on ‘Saving Face’ and will bring more awards home.  I say God-forbid if this happens. How cruel it is to celebrate a recovery without feeling the pain victims go through. Shouldn’t people like her now make a movie on revealing the culprits and film their punishment to receive more awards.

مارچ کا مہینہ آتے ہی ٢٣ تاریخ ذہن میں آتی ہے اور پھر قرار داد پاکستان یاد آتی ہے… ابھی گیارہ باقی ہیں… لیکن کیا فرق پڑتا ہے، کتنے بھی دن رہ جائیں… ہونے والی بات تو ١٩٤٠ میں ہو چکی… اور اس کا نتیجہ ١٤ اگست ١٩٤٠ کو نکل بھی آیا… اب تو بس اسے یاد رکھنا ہے اور اس کا دفاع کرنا ہے… 

قرارداد پاکستان یاد رکھنے اور اس کے دفاع کا ایک ہی طریقہ ہے… کہ پاکستانی عوام اپنے تفرقات اور اختلافات بھلا کر صرف پاکستان کے لئے کام کرنے کے بارے میں سوچے… لیکن ہمارے سیاستدان اور بہت سارے دینی لوگ ایسا ہونے نہیں دیں گے… انکو تو امریکہ اور مغربی دنیا نے ملازمت ہی یہ دی ہے کہ زبان، قومیت، عقیدے، نسل کو بنیاد بنا کر عوام کے درمیان نفرتوں کی دیوار کھڑی کرتے رہیں… عوام کے لئے اتنے مسائل پیدا کر دیں کہ انھیں کچھ یاد ہی نہ رہے سواۓ کہ دو روٹی اور دو کپڑے کیسے حاصل کرنے ہیں وہ بھی بھیک میں یا چھین کر… 

حالانکہ ہونا تو یہ چاہیے کہ وہ عوام جنھیں سب کچھ مل رہا ہے، سیاستدانوں اور دوسروں کے ایجنٹ دینی لوگوں کے لئے اتنے مسائل کھڑے کر دیں کہ انھیں کچھ یاد نہ رہے سوائے کہ خود کو بچانا کیسے ہے… ہاں یہ بات ضرور ہے کہ یہ آسانی سے خود کو پریشان نہیں ہونے دیں گے… سب آپس میں مل جل کر پاکستانی عوام کو اس کام کے لئے ملنے ہی نہیں دیں گے… پھر انکے غنڈے کارکن کس کام کے لئے پالے ہیں انہوں نے… اور یہی سب سے بڑا چیلنج ہے پاکستانیوں کے لئے… 

پاکستان کے دس گیارہ کڑوڑ نو جوان اور بچے… کیا یہ کم ظرف اور گھٹیا لوگوں کو اور انکی کم نسل اولادوں کو رہنماؤں کی صورت میں برداشت کرنے کے لئے تیار ہونگے…

Who is the most kind and the wisest?

The purpose is of this writing is not to pass any judgement on anyone.  This is just another tiny effort to look into the mirror of Islamic doctrine and see how many scars are left there on heart and soul.

There are 114 surahs in Qur’an and each except one (Surah At-Taubah/The Repentance) begins with the acknowledgement of God’s attributes “In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent/Compassionate, The Merciful”.  The same statement is mentioned once in Surah An-Namal/The Ants, when Prophet Sulaiman/Solomon uses the same words to begin with in a letter to the Queen of Sheba.

The same Quran mentions Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as the mercy for all the worlds Allah (SWT) has created.  Each and every moment of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)’s life is an evidence to prove this claim to be true and certainly it has everything to do with his character.  “We have sent you but as the mercy for all worlds”… Surah Al-Anbiya 107

The words of Qur’an and the life of Prophet (pbuh) are beautiful combination of moral laws and court laws – together they are called ‘shariah’/the Islamic code of law.  Any Muslim having a doubt and then preaching it as a defect of Islam, such as ruling on two women as a witness against one man or four marriages for men and only one for woman, is considered a ‘kafir’, which literally means the one who rejects or denies.  So, the word ‘kafir’ shouldn’t be used to for non-Muslims.

Allah (SWT) says in Qur’an, “ And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the Verses of Allah for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allah is Swift in account.  O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allah, so that you may be successful.”…. (Surah Aal-e-Imran/The Family of Imran 199/200)

Islam has introduced a very balanced and flexible life-style.  The exceptions and limitations in obligations are already set by the Shariah and they are termed as “hudood or hudood-Allah” in Quran.  Similarly, the Shariah has outlined the emotional expressions prohibiting extremism and exaggeration.

For example, a strong belief in our society about God is that there are no limits for glorifying Allah Almighty.  Yes, there are.  Allah (SWT) has specified how to and when to remember Him formally on daily and yearly basis, i.e. salah/prayer and Hajj/pilgrimage to Makkah.  However, there are no time limit and conditions to communicate with Him for any reason.  He Almighty is awake and present all the time.

Be wild in anger, be crazy in excitement, be pessimist in sadness, be disappointed in trials,  be haughty in richness, be silent for witness, be a support in false accusations, be overjoyed in celebrations, etc. —  this is how life events are dealt in our society, by showing extreme behaviour and this is prohibited in Islam.

Sometimes, people don’t realize that they are acting as they are wiser than Allah (SWT) and prophets.  They do violate the limits of Shariah and then defend themselves and justify their actions by giving lame excuses.  Who do they try to satisfy, God, people around us or themselves?

There are lots of things that we do and we can say that we do them because we like them.  There are many things that we don’t do and we can say that we don’t do them because we don’t like them.  We can simply say that I do this or I don’t do this because this is how understood the religion.  This is better than manipulating religious principles.  This is not wise to corrupt the religion and create complications for others by wrong interpretations of Islamic moral values.

This intentional or unintentional corruption in religion develops a guilt in mind.  This guilt often transforms into an extra-ordinary feeling of kindness and sympathy to others and is exhibited by charity work.  Those who are involved in breaking the system or if not breaking, not building the system usually rejoice themselves by feeding, helping, educating hungry and needy people at large scale.  This is one way to kill that guilt.

In the same manner, people exaggerate while consoling, condoling, grieving, describing, explaining and even guiding.  We mourn for weeks, months and years.  They exaggerate while praising sacred prophets, saints, leaders, heroes, elders, family dynasty, etc.  This exaggeration turns into controversies and contentions and finally leads to physical combats.

Sometimes people unknowingly try to pretend that they are more kind than God Almighty and His prophets.  They have more sympathies with rapists, robbers, adulterers and murderers than with the victims.    Forgiveness has its own conditions.  Forgiveness is when exercised unnecessarily to the wrong people, it benefits the criminal minds only. Only God Almighty has the right to forgive whoever He wills for any or no reason.

Sometimes people behave like they have more ego and temperament than God Almighty and His prophets.  Mostly men try this on women, elders on youngsters, rich on poor, smart on naive.  Raising voice for rights, for choice is also considered a matter of ego.  The Arabic word ‘ana’ meaning ‘I’ with the thought of completeness and absolute powers suits only to God Almighty.

I was just thinking that if Edhi, Ansar Burni Trust and other legitimate charity organizations have established as parallel to the government institutions, why don’t they join together and really make one for the sake of this country.  Edhi’s team works more like a ‘baitul-maal’.  Sarim Burni’s team plays Supreme Court in addition to police and detectives.  Shoukat Khanum Memorial Hospital’s team along with Dr. Adeeb Rizvi and many others can run the best health ministry in the world.  There are many educational institutions like Namal that can replace the board of education in all four provinces and adjacent territories.  Those who are making world records can be the best to deal with foreign affairs.

Who cares who sits in the President House!  People can choose Dr. A. Q. Khan or Justice Wajeehuddin or any other smart, honest and patriot man as a guide and leader.

Unemployed youth can head towards the villages and farms to help farmers to grow more and more food.  You know why, because food is most essential in all necessities.  They can even train themselves as a substitute to law enforcement bodies.  We are missing them any way.

People of Pakistan are a government, then why let the criminals and incompetents draw salaries from assemblies and make others beg for what they deserve?

All Hail or Hell to the Democracy

“He said, “Do you observe that which you have been worshipping,  you and your ancient fathers?  Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the ‘Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)… Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me… And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink… And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me… And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again)… And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense (the Day of Resurrection)… My Lord! Bestow hikmat (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs) on me, and join me with the righteous people… And grant me an honourable mention in later generations… And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight..” (Surah Ash-Shu’ara/The Poets)

“Verily, I have turned my face towards Him Who has created the heavens and the earth, inclining towards truth and I am not of those who associates others with Allah…” (Surah Al-An’aam/The Cattle)

“Say (O Muhammad, pbuh), Verily, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds…” (Surah Al-An’aam/The Cattle)

“And if Allah touches you with hurt, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for you, there is none who can repel His favour which He causes it to reach whomsoever of His slaves He will.  And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”  (Surah Yunus/Jonah, the Prophet)

Glorifying God Almighty or glorifying a person – what sounds more efficacious?  A quick answer to this would be ‘Glorifying God’, and we do glorify Him.

Yeah, we do glorify and remember Him – a timeless Being at times, an unlimited Being with limitations, the One beyond logic with reasons, the most direct One through sources.

But when it comes to glorify humans directly or indirectly, we disregard timings, limitations and logical reasons.  We pledge our lives to that person, we do sacrifices for his cause and we die in his/her name.

This is not leadership.  Breaking divine rules for a person, is not leadership.  Do things in a person’s name instead of God Almighty, is not leadership.  This is misguidance.

The way political workers and supporters hail their leaders and obey them is a non-sense.  They worship one person like crazy, they go wild at his/her insult, they become unjust while defending a morally corrupt person.

A party leader is party leader, he/she is not the god or goddess that the whole nation must hail otherwise suffer the wrath of their workers.  If they are so concerned with the dignity and honour of their leader, why don’t they ask him/her to behave human, civilized and normal?

How did the companions praised Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)?  Did Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) ever used his companions or people to be a threat for his enemies?  How disciplined and civilized were his companions and admirers, do we care?

Do political leaders and religious leaders have the rights to misuse or abuse moral values whenever and wherever they want?  Just because they have succeeded in gathering .05% or .50% of the population at one place.

Well, I say “NOT HAIL BUT HELL TO THESE LEADERS, THEIR WORKERS AND THIS DEMOCRACY”.

“ابراہیم نے کہا، اچھا کیا تم نے کبھی سوچا، کیا ہیں یہ جن کی تم پوجا کرتے رہے ہو؟  تم اور تمھارے وہ باپ دادا جو پہلے ہو گزرے… کیونکہ یہ سب تو میرے دشمن ہیں، سواۓ رب العالمین کے… جس نے پیدا کیا ہے مجھے، پھروہی میری رہنمائی فرماتا ہے… اور وہی ہے جو مجھے کھلاتا ہے اور پلاتا ہے… اور جب میں بیمار ہوتا ہوں تو وہی مجھے شفا دیتا ہے… اور وہی جو مجھے موت دے گا، پھر دوبارہ زندہ کرے گا… اور وہی جس سے میں امید رکھتا ہوں کہ وہ بخش دے گا میری خطائیں روز جزا… اے میرے مالک! عطا فرما تو مجھے حکمت اور شامل فرما تو مجھے صالحین میں… اور باقی رکھ میرا ذکر خیر بعد والوں میں… اور شامل فرما تو مجھے نعمت بھری جنّت کے وارثوں میں…” (سوره الشعراء) 

“(کہا ابراہیم نے) بے شک کر لیا میں نے اپنا رخ اس ہستی کی طرف جس نے پیدا کے ہیں آسمان و زمین یکسو ہو کر…” (سوره الانعام) 

“کہ دو، بے شک میری نماز اور میری قربانی اور میری زندگی اور میری موت، سب الله کے لئے ہے… جو رب ہے سارے جہانوں کا… (سوره الانعام) 

“اور اگر پہنچاۓ تم کو الله کوئی تکلیف تو نہیں کوئی دور کرنے والا اس کا مگر وہی اور اگر پنہچانا چاہے تم کو وہ کوئی بھلائی تو نہیں ہے پھرنے والا کوئی اس کے فضل کو….” (سوره یونس)

سارا کا سارا قرآن اور رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم کی زندگی اس بات کی گواہ ہے کہ الله سبحانہ و تعالی جو وعدہ کرتے ہیں پورا کرتے ہیں…

شخصیت پرستی کیا ہے… یہی نہ کہ کسی انسان سے اتنی محبت یا عقیدت کرے، یا اتنا خوف کھاۓ، یا اتنی امید لگاۓ کہ خدا کو بھول جاۓ… اس کے کہنے پر حلال کو حرام اور حرام کو حلال بنا لے… قرآن کے مقابلے پر اپنے من چاہے قوانین نافذ کرے… اس کے لئے جان دینے کا عہد کرے اور دے بھی دے…

خدا پرستی کے مقابلے پر شخصیت پرستی پاکستانیوں کا سب سے پرانا اور پسندیدہ عیب ہے اور سارے فساد اور موجودہ حالات کی جڑ بھی… سیاستدان ہوں، مولانا ہوں، اداکار ہوں، گلوکار ہوں، ماں باپ ہوں، میاں ہو، بیوی ہو، محبوب یا محبوبائیں ہوں، پیر یا عامل ہوں…. غرض یہ کہ اپنی زندگی کو کسی نہ کسی انسان کے ہاتھوں میں دیے رکھتے ہیں کہ وہ اس سے کھیلے… اور باقی سب کے حقوق پورے نہیں کرتے…

میرے خیال میں رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے پہلے عربوں میں کسی اور کا نام محمد نہیں تھا… لیکن اس کے با وجود ان کی پہچان انکا کردار تھا…  ’امین’ اور ‘صادق’ کے نام سے مکے کے لوگوں کو پتہ چل جاتا تھا کہ کس کی بات کی جارہی ہے… یہی حال بعد میں صحابہ کا بھی تھا… صدیق، فاروق، غنی، حیدر، سیف الله… یہ القاب انہوں نے خود اپنے ناموں کے ساتھ نہیں لگاۓ تھے بلکہ دوسروں نے انہیں ان کے نام کا حصّہ بنایا تھا…

صحابہ رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم کی شخصیت کو پوجتے نہیں تھے… بلکہ انکے احکامات کو احکامات خدا جان کر ان پر عمل کرتے تھے… رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم  سے اپنی محبت کے اظہار کے لئے اپنی مرضی کے طریقے اختیار نہیں کر رکھے تھے انہوں نے… دوسری بات یہ کہ رسول صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے بے انتہا محبت کے باوجود اپنے گھروالوں کے، محلے کے، دوستوں کے، رشتہ داروں کے حقوق کا خیال رکھتے تھے…

آج ہم اپنے معاشرے میں کتنے لوگوں کو انکو کردار سے بلکہ اچھے کردار سے پہچانتے ہیں… یہاں لوگ پیشے، عہدے، اور طبقے سے پہچانے جاتے اور عزت کیے جاتے ہیں…

ڈاکٹر، اینجنیرز، وکیل، جج، ہیڈ ماسٹر، استاد، چیف ایگزیکیٹو، منیجر، افسر، سیاسی لیڈر، سردار، وڈیرے، بزنس مین، صدر، گورنر، وزیر، ممبر قومی اسمبلی، کونسلر، مولانا صاحب، شاہ صاحب، مفتی صاحب، پیر صاحب، حافظ صاحب…….. بس اسی طرح ہم اپنے لوگوں کو پہچانتے بھی ہیں، انکی عزت بھی کرتے ہیں اور ان سے ڈرتے بھی ہیں… یہ سیاہ کریں یا سفید، صحیح کریں یا غلط… کسی کو ان سے سوال کرنے کا حق نہیں ہوتا… کوئی ان سے پوچھنے والا نہیں ہوتا… کسی کے پاس انکے احتساب کے اختیار نہیں ہوتا…

پاکستان میں ایک مسلہ یہ بھی ہے کہ جو باکردار ہو عوام اسے سوشل ورکر کی حثیت سے تو قبول کر لیتی ہے لیکن رہنما یا سیاستداں کی حیثیت سے نہیں… پاکستانیوں کا حال دیکھیں… پٹھان، بلوچی، پنجابی، سندھی، بنگالی، اردو بولنے والے، شیعہ، سنی، تبلیغی، اہل سنت، آغا خانی، قادیانی، پیپلز پڑتی، ایم کیو ایم، مسلم لیگ، عوامی نیشنل پڑتی، تحریک انصاف، ڈیفنس والے، گلشن والے، کینٹ والے، نارتھ ناظم آباد والے، لالو کھیت والے، اورنگی ٹاون والے، ملیر والے، ڈاکٹر، استاد، تاجر، مزدور …. کتنے سارے کنوؤں میں بند مینڈک ہیں ہم سب… اپنے اپنے فائدے کے لئے نکلے، ٹرٹراۓ اور پھر اندر…

پاکستان میں جو جس عہدے پر بیٹھ گیا یا بٹھا دیا گیا، نہ تو وہ خود ہٹنے کا نام لیتا ہے، نہ ہی دوسرے اس کے سامنے دم مار سکتے ہیں… عقیدت ہو، خوف ہو، محبت ہو، مقصد ہو، مطلب ہو یا مذاق… کوئی بھی وجہ ہو، ہمارے ہاں ایک شخص کو خدا بنا کر اس کی پوجا شروع کر دی جاتی ہے… اس اپنے ہی جیسے بے بس انسان سے ساری امیدیں وابستہ کر لی جاتی ہیں… وہی مسائل کا حل سوچے اور وہی ان پرعمل کرنے کے لئے یا کرنے کے لئے اپنی زندگی برباد کر لے… عوام تو کیا کرتی ہے… نعرے لگاۓ، اور کام نکلتا دیکھا تو صحیح ورنہ کسی دوسرے کے سا ۓ میں پناہ ڈھونڈنے نکل پڑے…

ہماری قوم نے لیڈر یعنی رہنما کے لئے کوئی معیار سامنے نہیں رکھا کہ کوئی لیڈر بننے سے پہلے سوچے کہ اسکی عوام اسے کن خصوصیات کے ساتھ قبول کرے گی…

ہم کبھی اس ایک انسانی خدا کے کردار کی طرف نظر اٹھا کر نہیں دیکھتے، پوچھتے نہیں اور اگر کوئی انکو بتاۓ تو الٹا اس کا دفاع کرتے ہیں… صرف روٹی، کپڑے، مکان، اختیار، حقوق اور آزادی کے وعدوں پر بک جاتے ہیں، غلام بن جاتے ہیں، رسولوں کی تعلیمات بھول جاتے ہیں، الله کے وعدوں پر یقین کرنا چھوڑ دیتے ہیں بلکہ اس سے بھی بڑھ کر اپنے رب کے خلاف بغاوت کر دیتے ہیں… کس کے کہنے پر؟ اپنے ہی درمیان میں پلے بڑھے اپنے ہی جیسے کردار کے ایک آدمی یا عورت کے کہنے پر… جو خود کسی قابل نہیں، جسکے پاس خود کوئی اختیار نہیں… جو خود اپنے نفع نقصان پر قادر نہیں… جو خود اپنی زندگی کی حفاظت کے لئے دوسروں کی پناہ کا محتاج ہو…

لیڈرز چاہے مذہبی ہوں یا سیاسی اور عوام… دونوں نے کبھی اپنا اپنا انجام نہیں دیکھا… صبح شام، دن رات ایک کر دیتے ہیں یہ رہنما… اربوں کی دولت جمع کر لیتے ہیں، محل بنا لیتے ہیں لیکن کبھی استعمال نہیں کر پاتے اور جو کچھ استعمال کر لیں تو گالیاں کھاتے ہیں، الزام سہتے ہیں، لعنت ملامت ہوتی ہے، کبھی انکے والدین کو برا کہا جا رہا ہوتا ہے اور کبھی بچوں کو بد دعائیں… یہی انکی زندگی کا حاصل ہوتا ہے…

عوام کو کیا ملتا ہے… خود کشی، خود سوزی، بھوک، فاقے، بیماریاں، محتاجی، بد حالی، ذلت………. روٹی، کپڑے، مکان، اختیار، حقوق اور آزادی کے لئے سڑکوں پر آۓ دن احتجاج، کتے بلیوں کی طرح دھوپ میں مارے مارے پھرنا، خواری اور ذلت نہیں تو پھر کیا ہے… کیا مذاق ہوتا ہے کہ ہزاروں اور لاکھوں لوگ سڑکوں پر جمع ہو کر بھی اتنے بے بس کہ صرف سٹیج پر کھڑے رہنماؤں کے اشارے کے پابند ہوتے ہیں… ڈگڈگی انکے ہاتھ میں ہوتی ہے اور عوام بندر کی طرح انکے احکامات پر عمل کرتے ہیں… ناچ جاؤ، ناچ گئے… گانا شروع کردو، گانے لگے… تالیاں بجاؤ، تالیاں بجانے لگے… جلسہ ختم کردو، گھر واپس آ گئے… میں تو یہ سوچتی ہوں کہ کتنے خوش ہوتے ہونگے عوام کی بے بسی کا تماشہ لگا کر یہ سیاست دان…

ہزاروں لاکھوں ایک ساتھ جمع ہو کی بھی کوئی قوت نہیں بنتے، کوئی مطالبہ لے کر اپنے لیڈرز پر دباؤ نہیں ڈالتے کہ یہ قانون بناؤ، یہ بل پاس کرو… جب الله رب العزت کو چھوڑ کر، اس کے دے ہوۓ آئین سے منہ موڑ کر، اس کی ہدایات کو ٹھکرا کر، ادھر ادھر بھٹکو گے تو یہ ذلت تو ملے گی… 

.

اور مزے کی بات یہ کی عوام اور لیڈرز، دونوں ایک دوسرے پر الزام بھی لگاتے ہیں… اور پھر ایک دوسرے کے ہی پاس جاتے ہیں…. سیاستدان ووٹ کے لئے اور عوام مسائل کے حل کے لئے… 

قرآن ایسے عوام اور ایسے لیڈرز کے بارے میں کیا کہتا ہے….“کمزور ہیں مدد مانگنے والے اور وہ جن سے مدد مانگی جاتی ہے…” (سوره الحج)

شخصیت پرستی کا سب سے بڑا نقصان یہ ہوتا ہے کہ انسان بے وقوف بہت بنتا ہے… اگر اس کو چاہا جاۓ تب بھی اور وہ کسی کو چاہے تب بھی… یہ سوچ ہی نہیں آتی کہ میں ہوں یا کوئی اور… ہیں تو انسان ہی، غلطی کر سکتے ہیں… محاسبہ بھی ہو سکتا ہے… تنقید بھی ہو سکتی ہے… مخالفت بھی ہو سکتی ہے… بے وقوفوں کی طرح بس کسی ایک شخص کی تعریفیں ہی تعریفیں ہوئی چلی جارہی ہیں… کوئی اسکے خلاف زبان نہ کھولے… الٹا سیدھا کچھ بھی کر کے اس کا دفاع کرنا ہے… زبان سے حق کے بجاۓ چکنی چپڑی باتیں نکلنی شروع ہو جاتی ہیں…

شخصیت پرستی کی ایک تازہ مثال اس وقت سامنے آئی جب ایک رکشے والے نے مجھ سے کہا کہ ‘باجی میں تو کہتا ہوں کہ یہی حکومت رہے، یوسف رضا گیلانی جیسا ایماندار، مڈل کلاس اور غریبوں سے محبت کرنے والا انسان وزیر اعظم رہے تو ملک کے حالات بدل جائیں گے’… میں صرف اس کا منہ دیکھتی رہ گئی… اور تعلیم یافتہ لوگوں کی نا اہلی کا ماتم کرتی رہ گئی…

.

اسی طرح کہیں دنیا میں ایسا قائد دیکھا ہے کسی نے، ناچنے گانے والا اور وہ بھی انتہا درجے چھچھورے پن کے ساتھ….

نواز شریف کی پرستش کرنے والوں نے تو حد ہی کر دی کہ محبت میں اتنے نعرے لگاۓ کہ لیڈر کو ہی بولنے نہ دیا… اورتواورماروی میمن صاحبہ نے کیا پلٹا کھایا… اور دونوں نے ایک دوسرے سے کوئی حساب نہیں لیا… نواز شریف نے یہ نہیں پوچھا کہ آپ تو مشرف کے ساتھ تھیں اس کے ہر جرم میں اور ماروی میمن نے یہ نہیں پوچھا کہ آپ نے کتنا کرپشن کیا اور کتنا قرضہ کھایا…

پرویز مشرف صاحب کو اچھی طرح سمجھ آ گیا ہوگا کہ عوام پرسے شخصیت پرستی کا بھوت اگر اترے تو کیا رنگ دکھاتا ہے… یا ہو سکتا ہے کہ عافیہ صدیقی کی آہ لے ڈوبی ہو…

عمران خان صاحب کے پرستاروں کو کم از کم یہ تو پوچھ لینا چاہیے تھا کہ بھائی یہ کس وقت کا عمرہ اور فوٹو سیشن کیا جارہا ہے… اور اگر حج بھی ہو توچھوڑا جا سکتا ہے خاص کر اگر اتنے سارے لوگوں کی زندگی اور موت کا مسلہ ہے…  ایسا حج تو نہ ہو کر بھی مقبول ہوتا ہے…

Educational Emergency in Pakistan

Whatever it means, we’ve got to do something about it.  By the way, when, in the history we had not been into educational crisis.  We only declared it now.

I have few questions in my mind…

1- What made us realize that we are facing a nation-wide educational emergency – general moral decline, increasing street crimes, extremism in behaviour, rising family issues, obscenity,  students’ inability to read/write/understand/solve problem or something else? 

We usually use the word ‘education’ as a solution to all problems.  If I say yes to all these elements, then obviously education alone can’t serve as an antidote.  Education is a process of academic activities that spreads over many years.  It doesn’t work like a magic wand.  People can’t be excused for their moral misbehaviour just because they have never been to school.  Street crimes aren’t only the result of economic crisis but a youth adventure and  part of political games too.  Family issues rise because of injustice and conspiracies.  Extremism and obscenity are the matters of self control.

It is actually “students’ inability to read/write/understand/solve problems” which has proved parents, school administrations and the ministry of education a big failure.  Parents actually are the key investors, they should set a guideline for themselves, use their rights to interfere in schooling system, pressurize the ministry of education to take right steps for quality education.  Parents should learn how to deal with children, how to motivate them towards learning, how to discipline them, how to evaluate their intellectual skills, etc.

Remember, a society consists of families, which are led by parents.  Good parents means good society.

2- Who declared this emergency or is it a divine declaration?

This emergency must have been declared by very concerned patriots of Pakistan.  Otherwise, parents only care about their own children, rest go to Hell.  Ministry of Education is aimless and incompetent.  School administrations are mostly run by or are influenced with political parties – and we know the fact that political parties would never support a ‘strong Pakistan based educational system in Pakistan”.  English medium schools of Karachi and Sindh and many colleges are good example of it.

3- Which people exactly have responded worriedly about this emergency – parents, higher level students, teachers, school administrations, ministry of education, government, illiterate majority or literate minority?

I think that parents, teachers, school administrations, ministry of education, government and illiterate majority are worried about this emergency.  They have been playing a very set monetary game so far, they wouldn’t want to see things improving.  Higher level students are more worried about the utilization of their degrees, how to gain what they have spent on education.

4- Which elements have caused this disastrous situation – over population, imported curriculum, non-qualified teachers, inefficient school administrations, parents’ illiteracy, television programs, overall negligence of our society?

If everyone, which means each one of us, agree upon all of them – what would then each one of us do something about them?  Teachers school staff come from common houses.  Parents can’t control television channels but can control the television set in their home.  Parents, women especially, can sacrifice two hours stupid morning shows and use that time to improve their literacy and ILLITERACY even after achieving a degree or diploma.

5-  What state of educational crisis are we in? 

a)  The students in schools and colleges are unable to read and write independently – an essay, an application, an article, an incident, an event, a story, even a paragraph.  They have no habit of using a dictionary or a thesaurus.  They are unable to do even simple mathematical calculations.

b)  About 7 million children in Pakistan do not go to school.

This simply means that the tinee tiny official funds for education and parents’ money that they spend on their children’s education, all have been wasted – by whom? – by parents, school administrations and ministry of education.

There is no planning for non-attendees to learn to read and write.

What is education?

Dictionaries say: Education is the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.  It is the act of imparting or acquiring skills as for a profession.  It is a kind of schooling.

“Education in its broadest, general sense is the means through which the aims and habits of a group of people lives on from one generation to the next.”  Jhon Dewey in Democracy and Education

Pakistan is a gender-based, family-oriented, feudal-minded society.  Gender-based in a sense that different standards are set for boys and girls.  Family-oriented because children are not allowed to violate family tradition and decisions taken by elders no matter how stupid they sound.  Feudal-minded – showing the attitude of ‘might is right’ so people, instead of focusing on rights, consume their efforts in gaining authority.

In Pakistan, the general concept of education is limited to financial gains and loss; a degree or diploma or any state which can enable to earn livelihood.  They find it totally useless if degree fails in getting them a job of standard they have set.  The majority of Pakistan want to spend not a single paisa and no time on education, all they want it for free.

Education in Pakistan has no value for elite and show-biz people, they have no reason to think about it.  Most educated lot, thinkers and NGOs are influenced with western style of education – they are obsessed with English –  their children speaking English and that’s it – what are they learning in English and its effect, they don’t care about it – Pakistan is none of their concern.

WHAT SOULD BE DONE IN THIS SITUATION?

1- This is very unfortunate that there are all kind of television channels running in Pakistan but an educational one except Virtual University which is for higher level students.

In America, PBS is dedicated to children’s program, teaching them letters, vowels, words, rhyming, syllables, sentence formation, politeness, communication skills, friendship, kindness to animals, caring animals and plants, etc.

2- While introducing imported curriculum in Pakistan, we totally ignore the fact that those high standard curriculum are not ‘high standard’ for where they are taken from.  Those are English countries.  Their children are born in an English speaking environment so they make their curriculum not to introduce a second language to their children but to learn skills in their own language.  When their teachers say ‘what is this?’, their children know what she is saying.

For our students, English is a second language.  Our children don’t even watch English cartoons or movies in English but Hindi.  So they don’t get to hear what they are forced to excel in at the age of 4 or 5.  This is not the matter of English or Urdu, very wickedly, Pakistani children are attracted to adopt Hindi through commercials, cartoons and movies.

3- Schools and colleges should be free of political influence.

4- Montessori syllabus and the categorization of subjects in 9th and 10th grade are both perilous.

Montessori syllabus in Pakistan is a violation of its own objectives and a great burden on little minds, which results in losing interest in learning anything by the age of 10.

This weird classification of subjects restricts growing minds from thinking extensively.  Science, Arts, Home-Economics, Computers – all divided in main groups – this is non-sense.

5- For those have no chance of going to school need to be placed where they can spend at least half day to learn unlike schooled children.

 

Wonders of Parenting

Once a parent, a parent forever.  This phrase is usually said to be true for mothers, “Once a mother is a mother forever” or if it is not then I just said it so.  I actually learned it from a famous Pakistan playwright Bano Qudsiyah’s play “Sanwal Mor Moharan”.  It is true for fathers in some cases too.

Carrying an organism for nine months in their wombs, suffering from the biological changes it goes through, is a reason enough to respect women as sacred human beings.  This whole process is a wonder that most women produce many times so happily.  Mothers are used as a bearer and courier for delivering humans into this world but that does not allow them to play God for their children.

Fathers initiate the process and do not stop struggling for their existence till the last moment.

In general, raising children is called parenting.  How parents raise their children defines them as a good or bad parent.  It is a process of taking care of children, educate them, train them to be a good human being and guide them how they can live a happy life.

In Islam, parenting is not only a big responsibility but a way of worshiping God.  Muslim parents unlike other parents are obliged to educate their children with the fundamentals of Islam too.  They cannot avoid it.  How do they manage to do that is a challenge for them and this is what they will be inquired about on the Day of Judgement.

Parenting is like growing up with your child again and with two or more children, again and again.   You experience your childhood in a different way, perhaps the way you think you should have been brought up by your parents.

If we really believe in ‘once a parent a parent forever’, then parenting should be done in two ways; directly and indirectly.

Direct way is to raise them, take care of them, educate them, prepare them to face challenges and leave them on their own.  The best way parents can help in building a society is by keeping their own children save from its negative impacts.

Indirect way can be the next step after direct parenting.  After raising their own children, parents just can’t sit home satisfied that their job is done, while their children are out there facing trials.  Parents can take part in building society for the ease of their own children.  If they don’t get involve in indirect parenting, their efforts for direct parenting may result in low, zero or negative.  They need to understand that when their children are out there, parents just can’t sit home and assume that their children out there will be fine.

What is the best part of parenting?  The best part of parenting is to make children understand that one day, they will become parents and then grandparents.  Whatever the circumstances they are born under, they have to think about their comfortable future and untroubled old age.

Is parenting supposed to be for life time?  Direct parenting, I don’t think so.  The purpose of parenting is to prepare children to live an independent life and be able to make wise decisions.  Parenting stops when children become adult enough to understand their responsibilities and are ready to live on their own.  Aren’t 20 or 25 years a good enough time to transform an infant into a qualified and capable asset of society.

Is parenting fun?  Parenting is fun when parents spend time with their children.  Joining children in their activities, showing them colours in nature, reading stories to them, singing them rhymes, sharing pleasant memories with them is all fun.  Parents rejoice the moments when they witness a rightful personality development in their children.

In Pakistan, parenting is either fun or a burden.  Fun for elite as they produce heirs.  Burden for the rest as they HAVE TO take care of them.  Normally, children just grow because parents refused to take responsibility of reproductive sentiments.

Parents in Pakistan devote themselves to their children for life time.  They think this is necessary for family bonding.

Pakistan is basically a family oriented society.  People are more devoted to their families than to community and country.  While earning for their families, they totally ignore their duties as a citizens of a country or as a member of community.  This attitude is totally against Islamic teachings.  Such a society falls more rapidly into crimes and provides culprits with all the moral facilities to produce more evil.  Parents don’t realize that their children will bring that evil home one day and that will be too late for parents to do anything about it.  Unless they go outside and start correcting the society.

One problem of parenting in Pakistan is that parents desire their children to grow in a new environment but they always let them down by mentioning their own childhood as a better time.  While comparing the two time periods, parents should remember their children are missing that fun because of them.  So, either parents should be grateful to their parents and condemn themselves for being bad parents or they should appreciate what their children are going through.

Another negative aspect of our society is that, that the family members become rapacious.  ”Whatever I am earning is for my wife and my children or my husband’s income is all mine and nobody else has a right on it or my wife should spend every single penny at home or I should decide where to spend my son’s salary.”  This is just the opposite of Qur’anic teachings.

“And those in whose wealth there is a known right, for the beggar who asks, and for the unlucky who has lost his property and wealth..” Surah Al-Ma’arij

“They ask you, (O Muhammad), what they shall spend.  Say, that which you spend for good (must go) to parents and near kindred and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer…”  Surah Al-Baqarah/The Cow 215

Pakistan is naturally an emotional society.  A majority of them don’t believe in reasoning and deal with matters emotionally.  Parents can’t take ‘no’ from their children and get emotional – tears, threats, thunder, termination – all the temperamental tools are being tested to change ‘no’ into ‘yes’.

Children who are brought up emotionally usually don’t behave rational and so, they lose many chances to grow and glow.

Pakistan, habitually is an extremist society.  Parents think, act and react at extremes.  They would sacrifice anything when they are in love with their children and then expect the return at same intensity.  Then they would take away anything from their children when they are angry with them.

Religiously, parents don’t follow Islam as a way of life but as an issue of who is right and who is wrong.  They eiter  Children grow hyper and with short-temperament in this suffocated environment.  They let out this frustration on society, without figuring out that their own family is the part of it.

Pakistani parents have their own reasons for being social.  According to them, children learn to live in family through wedding, aqiqah, roza kushai and birthday ceremonies.  They learn the importance of religion through milad, Qur’an khwani and dars.  They learn about their culture from basant and movies.

In last few decades, parenting has lost its essence in Pakistan.  Parents don’t set any guideline for themselves and for their children.

Life for children can be a lot easier if parents in Pakistan just remember one thing.  No era in any region was ever perfect, except that which was ruled by prudent majority and that rarely happened.  So, no matter what circumstances they are dealing with, if they have children, good parenting should be their first priority.

Haya – Life and Modesty

Once Arabs were a society that was indulged in adultery, vulgarity and great sins.  Pagans of Makkah were rude, uncivilized, barbaric, cheaters, liars, abusive and obscene.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), a person from the same society, diverted them towards piety, purity, modesty, simplicity and goodness.  He did not curse pagan’s faith, did not criticize their rituals, never raised his eye-brows and changed his voice harsh against their immodest activities, never confined himself to his beloveds, never refuses to help those who hated him.  He never stampeded on streets to terrorize Makkans with the power of his anger, except at the time of victory of Makkah, such a unique incident when he invaded the city with peace and forgiveness.

He was a socially developed person by nature; full of wisdom, admirer of beauty and pleasure, a symbol of grace and modesty/haya, confident in himself and smiling to people.  He knew how to and when to communicate with people.  He openly declared that he loves three things the most and those were perfume, salah and women (he did not use the name of any relationship).  And what he said, he always meant.

Haya/modesty is an inevitable part of Muslims’ faith, both men and women.  It is also categorized as one of the prophetic attributes.  With the root letters ‘ha and ya’, it literally means ‘life’ in Arabic.  In religious terms, it has been described as covering body (practice the ruling of sitr/body parts that should be covered), shyness (lower gaze/extreme softness), chastity (staying away from sex related activities), timidity (lack of confidence/not so sure), modesty (a moderate behaviour/simplicity/humbleness).  Haya is not a culture or tradition.  Haya is not a gender-based characteristic.  Haya requires not to shut women inside their houses and their disconnection to God’s world.

Beside its literal meanings, the most suitable word for ‘haya’ in English is ‘modesty’.  Allah (SWT) created the world with balance.  “He has set up the Balance (of Justice),  In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance.  So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance.” Surah Ar-Rahman/The Most Compassionate.  God brought universe into existence with balance (equilibrium, harmony, limits, due proportion, moderation).  The balance, with above synonyms, ensures life, not in span but in quality.  This entire surah describes the diversity of things working in their own limitations, which Allah (SWT) mentions as “the blessings from your Lord” and He orders us not to destroy it.

“And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness.  And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.  And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk.  It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit.”  Surah Yaseen.

Prophet Muhammad (pubh) said, “Haya/modesty does not bring but goodness.”  He is right.  A humble, moderate, pure and simple behaviour causes nothing but beauty, pleasure and relaxation.  The way he ate, drank, walked, talked, greeted people, welcomed his opponents, treated animals, cheered children, respected women, helped the needy, behaved at home, led campaigns (both preaching and political), fought battles, treated prisoners, imposed laws, told stories, tolerated enmity, settled disputes, explained Qur’an, delivered sermons, ruled Madinah, ran the government – all reveal the secrets of his extraordinary, unique, short-time success in driving people towards piety, purity, modesty, simplicity and goodness.

So in general, haya is a process of knowing your own limitations and letting others (diversities) live and work in their specified boundaries/hudood.  Qur’an has warned us at many places not to break the limits that Allah (SWT) has ordained on every Muslim.  Haya is used in Urdu in the meanings of limitations too, such as, ‘haya karo, masjid main kharay ho ker jhoot boltay ho…. kuch to haya kur, maan baap se is tarah baat kertay hain…. oye haya kur, is ne teray liye bohat qurbaniyyan di hain….. koi haya nahi, jo munh main ataa hay buk deta/deti hay…. oye haya ker, Allah ka khata hay aur Allah ki na farmani kerta hay…. etc.

The world right now is under the process of globalization, all countries under one flag, the whole world population under unified system – many evil powers have imposed wars in order to control the entire globe.  It is only Islam which is worthy of being the ruling power of the world because it is based on characteristics and merit.  People of the world are looking for solutions to their problems and what Muslims are showing them is anger, fire, hatred to their beloved days.

George Bernard Shaw said, “If any religion had the chance of ruling over England, nay Europe within the next hundred years, it could be Islam.  I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him – the wonderful man and in my opinion for from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Savior of Humanity.  I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today.”

Jamat-e-Islami announced to observe ‘Yom-e-Haya’ meaning ‘the modesty day’ on 14th February.

Christians have their reason to celebrate Valentine’s Day on 14th February.  Just like Muslims celebrate their own occasions with their own understanding.  For Muslims, if everyday is a mother’s day, father’s day, sister and brother’s day, teacher’s day, when what could be the reason for observing ‘haya’ on one day.  Haya should also be practiced everyday.  It is not just Valentine’s Day which non-Islamic.  Jahez, rape, infanticide, birthdays, Happy New Year parties, mayon and mehndi, prostitution in every neigbourhood, drug, illiteracy (inability to read and write), beggary, standing and cheering on the body of dead animals, cows and goats eating from garbage, cats and dogs wandering in search of food,  also fall into this category.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said,  ”Cursed be everyone who causes harm to a believer or schemes against him.”

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “No believer may humiliate himself”. When he was asked how any person would humiliate himself, he said: “By exposing himself to risks with which he cannot cope.” (it doesn’t mean that one should not experiment or try but with preparations and precautions.)

He (pbuh) said, “Shall I tell you the definition of a believer? He is one with whom people feel themselves and their property to be safe. A Muslim is the one who does not abuse people by word or deed.”

See the following photo in the light of above hadith, what are we showing to the world, our ability to burn things out, is it according to what Prophet (pbuh) said?  Why do veiling women only show up with danda/sticks and fire?  Does Islam stop women to step out for positive reasons, such as planting flowers and trees, volunteering at Edhi centers in taking care of orphans and traveling within the allowed distance to educate children?

Islam strictly forbids cursing or insulting other’s faith and festivals.  According to Qur’anic logic, if you do that, you will get the same reaction from the other side.  Muslims should are not advised to instigate a situation against anyone but to settle down matters wisely.

Many people suggest that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) should be kept out of discussions.  Why?  Allah (SWT) says in Surah Al-Ahzab, “in Prophet’s seerah/character, there is the best example for you”.  Discussions based on what is haram and what is halal are incomplete without including Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).  We cannot treat him like a maulvi or a scholar that we drag him in at nikah/wedding sermon, divorce, aqiqah, for reading Qur’an or do milad otherwise we just keep him out of our lives.  He is guidance for us in every aspect of our lives.  He is nothing to be afraid of.

Many say, the anger is not against Christians or their festivals but Muslims who follow non-Islamic traditions.  This is just like cursing and burning kids in neighbourhood to show anger against your own child because he/she is following them.  It is your failure, you should curse yourself, burn banners with your name on them, you stand in front of the mirror and say to yourself ‘get lost’ and ‘my foot’.

Islam did not come to exterminate other’s religion, culture and traditions.  It came to introduce people the best way to a quality life.  It came to show how beautifully, peacefully and prosperously the whole mankind live under the flag of Islam.

حیا نہیں لاتی مگر خیر۔۔۔۔۔۔۔

یوم حیا تو وہ دن تھا جس دن حضرت عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کی عزت اور عصمت پر لگائے گئے الزام کا داغ خود الله سبحانہ وتعالی نے قرآن کی آیات سے دھویا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ یوم حیا وہ دن تھا جب حضرت مریم علیہ السلام کی عزت اور عصمت پر لگائے گئے الزام کا دفاع ان کے معصوم بیٹے نے کیا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ یوم حیا وہ دن تھا جب حضرت یوسف علیہ السلام عزت اور عصمت پر لگائے گئے الزام کا جواب ان کے اپنے جسم پر موجود لباس نے دیا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ یوم حیا وہ دن تھا جب الله سبحانہ وتعالی نے قرآن کے ذریعے حضرت زینب بنت جحش کا آپ صلی الله علیہ وسلم کے ساتھہ نکاح کا اعلان کیا اور منافقوں کی زبانیں بند کیں۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔

لیکن جماعت اسلامی یا آج کل کے دینی لوگ کیا جانیں۔۔۔ کیا جانیں یہ کسی کی عزتیں بچانا, خوبصورتی اور احسان کے ساتھہ۔۔۔۔ یہ مقابلے کرسکتے ہیں, شک کرسکتے ہیں, تجسس کرسکتے ہیں, الزامات لگا سکتے ہیں, سزا سنا سکتے ہیں۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ 

سمجھہ نہیں آیا کہ اگر مسلمانوں کے لئے ہر دن ماں کادن, ہر دن باپ کا دن, ہر دن محبت کا دن۔۔۔ تو پھر حیا کے لئے ایک خاص دن کیوں۔۔۔ حیا بھی ہر دن ہونی چاہئے۔۔۔۔

ہمارے دینی لوگوں کی ذہنیت ملاحظہ ہو۔۔۔۔ لال مسجد کی خواتین ڈنڈے لے کر نکل آئیں سڑکوں پر۔۔۔ جماعت اسلامی کی خواتین نے سڑکوں پر آکر دنیا کو دکھایا کہ ہم جلانے کی طاقت بھی رکھتے ہیں۔۔۔

بس۔۔۔ یہی سیکھا سکھایا قرآن سے۔۔۔ مارنا, جلانا۔۔۔ 

اسلام سے محبت کا اظہار بھی بے چارے دوسروں سے نفرت کا اظہار کرکے کرتے ہیں۔۔۔ اور کوئی طریقہ نہیں سیکھا شاید۔۔۔  چلو سستی شہرت ہی سہی, دنیا میں مشہور تو ہوئے۔۔۔

وہ جو کسی نے کہا ہے کہ ۔۔۔۔ بد نام اگر ہوں گے تو کیا نام نہ ہوگا۔۔۔

حیا کا کلچر عام کرو, یہ کام صبح سے شام کرو

مارو تھپڑ بیٹوں کو گر وہ آنکھہ لگا ئیں عورت پر

قیمہ کردو شوہروں کا گر وہ ہاتھہ اٹھائیں بیوی پر

شرم دلاؤ بھائیوں کو گر وہ تاک میں جائیں لڑکی کے

نظرمیں رکھو باپوں کو جب پاس کھڑے ہوں کھڑکی کے

 مردوں کی مصروفیت کا چوبیس گھنٹے انتظام کرو

حیا کا کلچر عام کرو, یہ کام صبح سے شام کرو

Love, Pakistan and Valentine’s Day

 What’s love got to do with Saint Valentines?

All early 14 Saint Valentines were the martyrs of Christianity and had nothing to do with love and romance.  The name “Valentine” is derived from valens meaning worthy, strong and powerful.   It is celebrated in churches in religious terms.

The modern Valentine’s Day has gradually been developed to express love and affection through cordate objects, doves, Cupid and red colour.  Cupid, a character in Latin literature by Apuleius had an ability to make people fall in love.  It is derived from Latin cupido meaning ‘desire’ and Amor meaning ‘love’, is the god of desire and erotic love with his Greek counterpart Eros.

The Valentine’s Day is celebrated in many parts of the world including few Islamic countries on different dates with different names in relation to their own  ’mythical love stories’.

However, the religious sector in some Islamic countries condemn it for many reasons, such as, it is a Christian day or is being celebrated by Christian or non-Muslims, promotes immodesty and is against their definition of chastity in Islam.  The word ‘chastity’ anyhow is derived from Latin castus meaning ‘pure’.

Pakistani literature, just like other literature around the world, is full of enchanting love stories.  The characters have been depicted romantically in both prose and poetry.  Heer Ranjah, Sussi Punnoon, Sohni Mahivaal, Omar Marvi, Mirza Sahiban, Yusuf Khan and Sherbano, Adam Khan and Durkhanai, Noori Jam Tamachi are some of the most famous one.  Not only that but Pakistanis are also impressed with the tale of Laila Majnoon and Romeo Juliet and Cleopatra and Mark Antony.

Then there are some  said to be true love stories of Emperor Jahagir (real name Nuruddin Salim) with the maid/kaneez Anarkali and with his wife Mehr-un-Nisa famous as Noor-e-Jahan meaning ‘light of the world’  and Noor-Mahal meaning ‘light of the palace’ – and of Emperor Shah Jahan (real name Shahabu-ud-din Muhammad Khurram) with Arjumand Bano, the 14 year old niece of Empress Noor Jahan, got fame as Mumtaz Mahal meaning ‘the jewel of the palace’.  He built Taj Mahal, one of the wonder of the world, in remembrance of her beloved love.

Avoiding the failed love-affairs, there are few successful real life love stories, topping both Quaid-e-Azam and Madam Noor Jahan with Pakistan, Muhammad Ali and his wife Zeba, Santosh Kumar (Moosa Raza) and his wife Sabiha Khanum, Darpan (Ishrat Raza) and his wife Nayyar Sultana.  Beside that, in my family, out of many love-marriages, I would proudly mention my cousin with her husband, both hearing impaired, enjoying their life romantically with triplets, great couple.

Religiously, the story of Prophet Yusuf/Joseph (peace be upon him) and Zulaikha (Potphar’s wife) was popular among Persian poets.

Out of all, I must say that Emperor Shah Jahan stands out for holding 1st position among all successful lovers and as he waited five years to marry her love, they had 14 children and he built Taj Mahal to express the intensity of his love for her.

Religious parties in Pakistan have been protesting against Valentine’s Day celebrations.  Many moderates also condemn it as the way it is celebrated is against their culture and moral values.

Recently, Jamat-e-Islami (the religious-political party) announced February 14 as Yom-e-Haya meaning the ‘day of modesty’ to defy the effects of Valentine’s Day on our youth.

What has modesty to do with love-affairs, marriage-proposals and exchanging gifts for love?

Modesty/Haya is the part of faith since 1433 years and it should be the part of a Muslim’s personality every second of his/her life.  Hazrat Usman among all companions is considered the most modest man, was married to Hazrat Ruqayyah, Hazrat Umm-e-Kulsoom and Hazrat Naila.

Among prophets, Prophet Yahya ibn Prophet Zakariyyah/Jhon the Baptist is famous for being the most modest.

For Muslims, great example comes from Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who’s character is most appreciated in Qur’an.  He said, “Beloved to me are three things, fragrance, women and salah/namaz/prayer is the coolness of my eyes” – he didn’t use the word ‘my wife’ but women in general.  He married 11 honourable ladies.  Hazrat Kadijah bint Khawailud, the modest lady, proposed him out of love and respect.  Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was shown Hazrat Ayesha and he fell into love with her.  He (pbuh) has mentioned many times his love for Hazrat Khadijah and Hazrat Ayesha.

Although there is a concept of part-time love according to some religious sects, Islam encourages adulation, loyalty and tenderness for better relationship between spouses.  As I have heard a hadith that the worst among transgressors are those who cause fitnah/evil/trial between husband and wife and try to destroy their relationship.

So, in Islamic history, modesty never stopped any man or woman from sending proposals and marriages of their own choice.

Love is the feeling which is appreciated and celebrated in every religion, in every culture, in every era, at every time, by everyone except Pakistan.

Romance is excitement, sentiment and attachment.  It is not just a childish love-affair between a girl and a boy.  Romance is the beauty and attraction found anywhere and everywhere, it could be in food, in clothes, in books, in pets, in flowers, in forests, in caves, in moon and stars, in work, in passion, in money, in people.  For a lot of people it is in Qur’an, in Muhammad (pbuh), in Salah, in Makkah and Madinah.  It is not flirt or scandal all the times.

The coordination, harmony, melody and engineering in nature is romance.  Isn’t it?

What is the value of love and romance in Pakistan?

In Pakistan, love is related to power and authority; love of Allah, love of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), love of parents and husband’s power of sexual intercourse.

The society, as a whole, demands and admires the expression of love in form of unilateral devotion, forbearance, sacrifice and tolerance.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “Exchange gifts, it increases love”.  While in Pakistan, exchanging gifts is either a trade done on ceremonies and festivals or a romance.  Romance is entitled as ‘vulgarity, sin and kufr/disbelief’ as it is thought to be happened between a male and a female in seclusion.

Is Valentine’s Day celebration non-Islamic?

Heart-shape objects, notes of love, gifts, doves (excluding Cupid for being a Latin fictional character) are the symbols of love and peace.  Whether they are used at Valentines, Eids, birthdays, weddings or other events, they are meant to express same feelings.

The truth is that Pakistanis in particular have forgotten to celebrate anything at all, especially if it has to do something with love.  They find it more convenient to observe SOG days, protest days, strikes, days long mourning and all occasions that are related to death.

Why Pakistani youth seems more interested in celebrating Valentine’s Day and in a Western style?  These youngster live in a society where they don’t see their parents, grandparents, uncles and aunties, couples in neighbourhood in romance, not even to the limit that is allowed in Islam.  All they observe is frustration and resentment in relations.  All they get to see is dust and barrenness and pollution in the environment.  All they have to hear are arguments, justifications and directions.  Beside that, they are always occupied with celebrations and the related controversies.  Isn’t it all very suffocating?

They know that their parents will decide for their fate.  They can’t look out for a life-partner as Islam has allowed them and even after that they are not free to live as they want.  The life they fantasize through movies, love-tales and western culture.

Are the stories of Cinderella or Phoolmadrani (the Urdu version of Cinderella) and of princes and princesses that nani and dadi once used to tell non-Islamic too?

Islam is the religion of beauty, love and relaxation.  It does not leads anyone to dark ages.

یوم حیا تو وہ دن تھا جس دن حضرت عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کی عزت اور عصمت پر لگائے گئے الزام کا داغ خود الله سبحانہ وتعالی نے قرآن کی آیا سے دھویا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ یوم حیا وہ دن تھا جب حضرت مریم علیہ السلام  کی عزت اور عصمت پر لگائے گئے الزام کا دفاع ان کے معصوم بیٹے نے کیا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ یوم حیا وہ دن تھا جب حضرت یوسف علیہ السلام عزت اور عصمت پر لگائے گئے الزام کا جواب ان کے اپنے جسم پر موجود لباس نے دیا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ یوم حیا وہ دن تھا جب الله سبحانہ وتعالی نے قرآن کے ذریعے حضرت زینب بنت جحش کا آپ صلی الله علیہ وسلم کے ساتھہ نکاح کا اعلان کیا اور منافقوں کی زبانیں بند کیں۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔

لیکن جماعت اسلامی یا آج کل کے دینی لوگ کیا جانیں۔۔۔ کیا جانیں یہ کسی کی عزتیں بچانا, خوبصورتی اور احسان کے ساتھہ۔۔۔۔ یہ مقابلے کرسکتے ہیں, شک کرسکتے ہیں, تجسس کرسکتے ہیں, الزامات لگا سکتے ہیں, سزا سنا سکتے ہیں۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ 

SCANDALOUS AFFAIRS

Meera’s English, Veena Malik and Mathira’s salacious photographs, Saima Khan and Nargis’s x-rated stage dance, Maya Khan’s super domineering hosting, Nadia Khan’s interference in people’s personal life and many other women with immodest scandals – all bashed up by men of great virtue and character.  Yeah, the common men of Pakistan.   Musarrat Shaheen is said to be the only surviving ‘screen prostitute’ who is eligible for elections in her area.  Men, bearded or clean shaved,  highly relish these situations, surpassing their limits in condemning, cursing and criticizing women for being ‘morally and sexually adulterated’.

These kind of women are commonly titled as ‘bitches’ and men demand their expulsion from society and severe punishment by the government and law even if it be stoning her to death.

Somehow, grieving, howling, moaning, mourning, wailing, weeping, bleeding and wounded, naked and exposed, women have remained the only source of amusement and entertainment for Pakistani men.

While in this very same ,yet, undefined society, many male politicians, celebrities and even common men have been found engaged in lewdness, lechery and sexploitation and have been caught red handed – shockingly all were/are deliberately disregarded and voluntarily exonerated from all sins and crimes.  They should have been called ‘dogs’ and ‘pigs’ too.

Tell me honestly, who do Mrs. Reema Khan, soon to be Mrs. Meera, Mrs. Sana, Mrs. Saima Noor, Mrs. Noor, Ms. Resham, Ms. Nirma, Mrs. Musarrat Shaheen and other female actresses and stage dancers please and upset by oscillating their bodies and shaking their breasts and buttocks so frequently and constantly in the name of fun, art and freedom?  Who do they discompose their physical formation for?  They say their purpose is not to seduce anyone but then why do men feel like that?  Why don’t those men present there stop them – I mean the producer, the director, the actors, the hero?

Why was MAYA KHAN fired immediately while Syed BILAL QUTUB from Alim Online is still there after that controversial program – no public pressure and no condemnation from religious side?

Why was Nadia Khan terminated while Syed Mustafa Kamal was justified after calling public “Ulloo ka Patha” – no conviction by law, no public stricture?

Why are Veena Malik and Mathira called ‘BITCHES’ while Moammar Rana is not called a ‘DOG’ after posing nude in a photo session?

One thing I still haven’t understood is what evil is Veena Malik or Mathira or any other female producing that Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Vidia Balen and other Bollywood actresses have not done?  Lollywood actresses only compete with them in getting naked to buy men’s attention and money.  The google searches have decided who can do it better.  Pakistani men are the most fervent viewers of Bollywood nudity and find it more safe for their faith and purity.

Why don’t men (actors) step forward to defend their co-female colleagues when they are scurrilously attacked by the society and judged by muftis and scholars – I mean Nadeem Baig, Shan, Moammar Rana, Babar Ali, Afzal Khan Rambo, Umar Sharif and those who support art and have been through that medium, like Talat Hussain, Shakeel, Rahat Kazmi, Usman Pirzada, etc.?

It is quite possible that the celebrities purposely propagate these kind of scandals to entertain themselves and to satisfy the lust of popularity.  They would commit suicide if they come to know how their ‘freedom of expression’ sometimes effects and spoils people’s life.

The biggest injustice that we have done to ourselves and our country is that we have handed over the domination and superiority to men who are coward, unjust and unfortunate literates.
